After a short winter break we were stoked to see the Hilltop reopened for the season. We stopped in for a late lunch on our way back home to Akaroa & although it was very busy the staff still manage to provide a professional and efficient level of service. With 5 adults and 4 children we sampled lots from the menu & all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, they were fresh, tasty and well portioned. This is a little gem in the Peninsula's hospitality scene and we'll definitely be back!!

The day we stopped here, the weather was awful, so the views were intermittened. It was still worth the wait for the two different pizzas we ordered. Beautiful thin crusts, and fresh qualtiy toppings. The coffee was good, the staff friendly, and I would recommend eating there despite the time it took to get our food.

I have avoided this hotel for many years and am delighted that we stopped there last weekend. It has had a makeover, gone is the beer sodden carpet, replaced with polished floors. A great pub menu (the beer battered F&C were fantastic) and a delightfuly extrovert french maitre de added to the experience!
