Went for a mates birthday and had a couple of drinks before which was no problem had a couple more at the venue and I was completely fine in now way out of it. The bar men said we had drank to much and would not serve us anything more.... okay then he was then very rude with us like we had done something very wrong. I am sorry I forgot this is a bar where you sell alcohol ? Anyway we had his water thinking he may serve us again and he then just told us get out. By this time our party was down to about 12 of us roughly so we just thought we can't beat them so we will just move on. There was even designated drivers who were to drunk hmm that's good to know. So out of touch this venue and perth in general. Why can't people have fun anymore.?? No wonder all the young kids are fighting on the streets each weekend they have no where to go as Noone will let them in. Been coming here for years but on my own choice I will not return.

It is already a long time ago when I have been to Fremantle but my first way would be to the Sail & Anchor. It loved the athmosphere in the bar and always got into contact to locals.

Bar MAN rude and obnoxious.. Slams the doors on patrons watching the entertainers outside doorway... Half of my party were enjoying the buskers, the bartender had a hangover so slammed the door and locked it behind them... He us racist pig and very rude!!! Stay away from the shaved ginger haired bartender ☺️

We had a nice lunch here on a Sunday. The meals seemed to take a long time to come even though it was early and not that busy. A good selection of food. The curry beef pie was nice without being amazing. A great selection of craft beers made by them and others. Try happy hour through the week for cheap pints.

As eateries in central Fremantle go, you could do a lot worse than the Sail and Anchor. We wandered in on a bustling Saturday around 2pm and didn't meet with any trouble getting a table.

Service was prompt, friendly and relaxed and the menu varied such that we found ourselves spoilt for choice. She had the slider entree with a side salad with water and he had the salmon fillet with baby bok choy and roast potatoes together with a pint of house beer. Both dishes were very enjoyable and the bill, albeit using a voucher from the entertainment book, came to just over $40 - very reasonable for both the quality and quantity received.

Ambience is good - we felt we could 'disappear' here and not feel uncomfortable in talking away the afternoon if we chose to. There's a rather lovely unhurried pace here yet not at the cost of service. Recommended.
