Description: Cicerello's is a Western Australian family owned business. For more than 100 years the name has meant not only the best fish and chips in a great location in the heart of Australia's largest fishing boat harbour, but also freshly caught seafood including oysters, mussels, crabs and crayfish, enjoyed with beer, wine or champagne at the waters edge. On offer is a range of traditional fish & chip meals, together with an extensive selection from our grill menu which includes everything from probably Perth's best seafood platter to our fresh fish of the day, which is hand filleted on site in our own fish processing facilities. Make sure on any visit you check out our Fresh & Local specials which run every day of the week.

Grabbed some fish and chips for lunch. It was a bit chaotic inside but then again it waas school holidays and there is lots of seating options inside and out in the shade. The fish and chips were delicious, crispy batter, the texture of the fish was great. They are decent size portions too.

Ps. We liked the sense of humour with the signs outside.

I’ll admit I intended to go in and take a peak at their fishtanks with live fish ( their indoor aquarium) and go somewhere else for dinner!
That would have been a mistake!
Yes! They have amazing fish tanks where you can ogle at stonefish, octopus, eel and many more! Check them out!
But, to my surprise, the food was super good! Perfect beer batter fish and delicious chips ( I dived right into it and forgot to even take a picture!) The mussels were the best I had on this trip!
Mind you: The portions were huge! But even with lots of quantity there was quality in every bite!!!
We had to eat indoors as it was cold and way too windy outside and it was a blast just taking in this restaurant with such a obvious history!

The Sea Chowder / fish soup it very good. I followed the process and a saw that this was not just warming a predone soup. It was done from bottom up. Visited Fremantle for 5 dags and choosed this meal 2 evenings.
Will be on my list the next visit also.

The neon sign says WA's No 1 Fish 'n' Chips. Well this may have been the best that Western Australia had to offer, but we suggest there's a typo and the apostrophe should be deleted. It's a great location but if you sit outside, the seagulls will steal your chips and other misdemeanors. So you go inside to this dark, dirty shed that is reminiscent of Freemantle Prison. The tables are grubby, the noise from the fans is overwhelming, the ambiance is industrial. Worse, the food is mediocre. The fish was fresh enough but quite tasteless, the chips were obviously cooked from frozen and the batter was underwhelming and greasy. No glasses for the beer.

We're off to explore WA south of Perth. If their slogan is true, I doubt we will be ordering fish and chips again.

Take my advice and avoid.

Very casual. Wait on line, order at counter, and find a table. There are aquariums around which are fun to look at while waiting. There are lots of similar restaurants in the area.
