Description: Right in the heart of Fremantle, Portorosa is the Italian Restaurant you don't expect. Using the best available local ingredients, our Chef creates a seasonal menu featuring classic dishes, bursting with a great Sicilian flavor. Our menu is based on the Italian tradition of preparing food. We combine simplicity with the best ingredients of the season, including high quality olive oil, locally grown local vegetables and fruits, and seasonal specials of seafood, poultry, meat and game. In addition to the regular menu, our specials menu features a variety of soups, antipasti, pasta and main courses.

We stuck to the daily specials; marinated octopus for starters and fettuccini with gambas (cleaned correctly) and broccoli. Both were excellent. The waitress was competent and friendly. The only fly in the ointment was the 15% surcharge added to the bill, which may well be mentioned in the menu, but as we didn´t concern ourselves too much with it, it came as a negative surprise. Anyway, now you know about it, so make your choice!

I have been many times to portorosa and it has never lost its touch. It is a family favourite and every time we are out in Fremantle we dine here. The service is great and the staff and chefs are all so friendly and genuine. The food is beyond delightful and how they found such perfect Italian chefs in such a small city is beyond me. I love all the pizzas, pastas, salads and starters they have to offer and the atmosphere of this beautiful restaurant is so relaxing and pleasant to be in.

Very Tasty food, decent size portions, good staff, decent drinks. Needs more staff on Friday nights & weekends as staff seem overworked. Pasta Vodka is always good and any chicken dishes. Gets very busy on Saturday nights...you may have to queue if you don't have a booking.

Love this restaurant the food is always good at reasonable prices. Sitting outside in the summer on a balmy evening enjoying a glass of wine with good food is a pleasurable experience

Busy Italian restaurant with slightly down at the heels menus/ambience but hope for filling meals more than met. Yes, it seems Italian families do eat here too! Young Italian backpacker waiters needed only little encouragement to provide helpful service. Delicious chocolate cake shared with my wife was a real treat.
