Lunch took a while but was worth the wait, delicious. Venue is in a great location but very noisy and crowded.

I had lunhc iwth friends here. It is a chilled out place to hang out, have a drink, and tasty food. Good range of beer on tap, nice courtyard to sit in, and great food.

Absolutely love the Norfolk! Chilled out vibe, perfect for a beverage out in the Sun! Sunday afternoons include a funky DJ also. Great food too, try a pizza and the chips.

Four of us visited the Norfolk Hotel Restaurant for lunch and ordered the fish and chips. We asked for potato instead of chips, and for any dressings to be on the side as two of our party are diabetic. This was no problem and our meals came out exactly as requested. Lovely fish in a very thin batter, perfectly cooked and well-seasoned potato and a fresh salad. We sat inside as it was a very hot day and the decor is simple and tasteful. We will be back to try the beer garden very soon.

Whenever I’m in Fremantle, I always make a point of having a beer or two at the Norfolk Hotel. It’s a great beer garden for relaxing and meeting friends, especially after a hot day. The Norfolk has a good range of ales and lagers, and a reasonably good range of wine. The beers are a bit pricey and the mark up on the wine excessive - $10 on each bottle sold over the counter compared with the same wine sold as take away. I don’t normally eat at the Norfolk but I was with a group of Japanese colleagues and we were getting hungry and it was a busy Friday night in Fremantle, and most restaurants were full. The menu is reasonably extensive with something to appeal to most palates. We ordered two seafood (sharing) plates at $84 each and some salads for ten people. For $84, I expected more than what was delivered, barely enough for two or three people, and Japanese are not big eaters. It was just enough as an appetizer, so we ordered some pizzas to finish. The pizzas were pretty much standard fare compared with the rest of the pizzas that pervade Fremantle’s Cappuccino Strip. The seafood plates had a range of items, none particularly outstanding. The tempura whiting on the plate was nicely cooked, as battered fish, but it was not tempura. Tempura should be very light, almost translucent and crispy (pari-pari). It was not. Overall, the food was better than many of the restaurants in Fremantle, and on hot night it was nice to eat outside.
