“Great disappointment”
Reviewed March 16, 2014

After reading the excellent reviews we decided to try this place out. I along with 4 other family members arrived around 11.30. We were able to get a table immediately and proceeded to order our meal. 3 of us ordered coffees which were brought out quite quickly, unfortunately though they were lukewarm. We returned them and asked for coffee that was hot. They gave us fresh cups, they were equally as cool. We had juices that tasted as if they had been watered down. Three of us ordered the potato rosti breakfast, we all thought the rosti tasted awful, they had a sour unpleasant taste, not nice all. The poached eggs were like little rubber balls, hard and rubbery. The rocket salad was wilted and limp. The other two people ordered the bacon breakfast and were satisfied with theirs. So overall it was a very disappointing meal and we certainly would not recommend the food to anyone.

“Great coffee”
Reviewed March 15, 2014 via mobile

Not sure why this doesn't have a higher rating, much better than the other places for breakfast we tried. Great coffee, decent sized meals and fresh flavours.

“Our daily breakfast”
Reviewed March 10, 2014

Couldn't help ourselves, had to go every day, it is such a relaxing start to the day, parking free until 9.00 a.m., newspapers provided, free internet, and delish food and excellent coffee, of even a home made lemonade when something a little more refreshing was needed. Cannot imagine going anywhere else when in Fremantle next.

“Great place for breakfast”
Reviewed January 27, 2014

My partner and visited this place after it turned up in a Google search for best breakfast in Fremantle.

It is set slightly out of the centre of things on a side street but not too difficult to find. There are some parking spaces outside which were free as it was a Sunday.

The streets were deserted but the restaurant was a hive of activity and obviously very popular. There are seats out front and inside but we chose to sit in the cute little courtyard at the back. The decor and style is pretty funky and it has a very relaxed atmosphere. It is also a bit of a sun trap and was particularly hot this day so they brought out an evaporator fan which was very welcome. As seems to be more common these days, after being given the menus you order and pay at the counter.

It was slightly pricey but service was pretty quick and the food was very good. I had poached eggs on toast (perfectly cooked) with bacon, a thick tomato relish and a pot of tea. The bacon was just right too and plenty of it and I even ate the wilted spinach which for one didn’t taste like soggy mush! My partner had the pumpkin mash which was delicious (I sneaked a forkful!) along with bacon and eggs and a latte.

The food was all really nice, service was great and the place had a great vibe.

All in all a relaxing way to start the day in a very pleasant surroundings.
