“Great experience!”
Reviewed June 19, 2013 via mobile

We booked the ferry and bike hire online, so easy. Everyone was very professional and friendly. Seeing Rottnest by bike is awesome - up close to the quokkas. I would highly recommend this company.

Hi Gail,

Thank you very much for sharing your experience. We have put a lot of time and effort into making the customer experience as simple and as friendly as possible - from the moment you visit our website, to the second you jump off our ferry at the end of the day. However, we're always looking at ways to improve so we appreciate feedback - good or bad. I agree that Rotto is best seen by bike - the freedom to go where you want at your own pace! (and yes...dont forget the Quokkas!). Thanks for your recommendation, I hope you get the chance to visit us again from Mackay or at least advise your friends to visit!

“very helpful and accomodating”
Reviewed June 13, 2013

wanted to go to Rottnest. Probably would like if they had more trips each way per day, but i'm sure it's an economic decision. anyhow, i booked the wrong trip (too late, would miss my flight). they were totally helpful in getting me a different trip and they didn't charge me the change fee. the boats are nice, crew are helpful. bikes are sufficient (not great, but better than other rentals i've gotten in the past). i thank everyone for being so helpful!

Hi Pennsational,

It's fantastic to heat that you were well looked after by our team! We do strive to offer great customer service and look after any customer issues on a case-by-case basis so we appreciate your feedback. In regards to the frequency of ferries on the day, this is our winter schedule where lots of thought is put into the decision to reduce the operation for this time of year due to lower passenger numbers. We do still offer a range of departure times operating from each of our three terminals to cater for both day trippers and overnight visitors. I'm glad you had a memorable time on Rotto and we look forward to hopefully seeing you again!

“Great place to visit”
Reviewed May 29, 2013

Rottnest Island is a great place to visit and the service from Rottnest express was very good. I couldn't understand why there are so few services and why it only took 30 minutes from Fremantle in the morning but almost 2 hours to Barrack St Jetty in the afternoon. Very slow trip back.

Hi Satrina, Its great to hear that you had a fantastic day on the island! I hope you'll spread the word! Around this time each year, we move into our winter schedule and reduce the number of ferry journeys as visitor numbers fall and we run our vessel maintenance schedule. Your return to Perth in the afternoon stops at each of our ferry terminals on the way back to cater to as many visitors as possible so this is why you experienced a longer return journey. I hope it didn't affect your day too much and you at least enjoyed the relaxing cruise up the Swan River back to Perth? Hopefully we'll see you again in the future.

“Awesome wish had more time.”
Reviewed May 15, 2013

Beautiful island, loads of wildlife to see and generally a really relaxing day. Quokkas are fun furry things found all over the island, fur seals, osprey it really is a great day out if you like nature. The bus is an easy way to get round the island if cycling isn't your thing.

Taking the trip on the most expensive ferry i have ever taken is more than worth it.

Hi Rob,
It's great to hear that you enjoyed so much of the island wildlife and what the place has to offer. You say you saw the fur seals? Whether that was on the 90-minute Adventure Tour or swimming to them from Eagle Bay that's one of the best experiences on the island in my opinion! With regards to ferry fares - everyone entering the Rottnest Island Reserve is required to pay an admission fee ($16-$21) as a contribution to the conservation of the Island and the provision and upkeep of facilities. This fee is included in your ferry fare which does directly reflect in our pricing. We do pay close attention to our ferry pricing, offering a range of flexible fares and discounts online. Hopefully we do get to see you over from Sydney again and be sure to check our Deals page on our website.
