Having little experience of Australian top-fermented beer (apart from Cooper's), I went on this brewery tour with some trepidation. I was re-assured.
Several tours take place in the afternoon - visit first to sign up; you can have a beer first, while waiting. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. She went through the brewing process, and showed us the various vessels involved, both in the original brewhouse, and its more recent buildings to the right. The tour lasted about 30 mins.
The visit culminated in beer tasting - all their brews on sample. Their Pale Ale is excellent, but avoid "cider" if you respect your palate!
After the tour, why not visit the beer hall - cavernous, loud, excellent service, young clientele (OK, that dates me), but beware of prices!
