“Great food and service!”
Reviewed July 27, 2014

We decided to have lunch one Saturday afternoon at the Monk. The food was great - good sized portions (unless you had the steak) and excellent flavors. Good value for money...(again unless you had the steak). The staff were helpful, fast and friendly. The only criticism was that the music was so loud we had to shout...and they could not seem to turn it down for some reason despite multiple requests. I will be going back but will wait until Summer so we can sit outside instead.

“Sunday arvo perfection!”
Reviewed July 20, 2014 via mobile

My Husband, sister in law & myself visited here today for a late lunch & boy did we choose well!! I had the Sticky Pork Belly with Scallops - (and for a lady with morning sickness) - I was sooooo happy!! So yum!! My husband ordered the Beer Tasting platter & he was very impressed with the selection.
Although very busy, the waitstaff were very attentive & we never felt forgotten.
We would definitely come here again! Thanks guys :)

“An autumn day in Fremantle”
Reviewed July 3, 2014

Whilst visiting Fremantle with my relations back in May, we decided on lunch at The Monk Brewery & Kitchen.Being such a nice day we decided to eat outside.Being a Sunday and nice weather the place was really humming, particularly with the younger set.Although we were oldies with an eight year old,we still felt quite at home. The waiter who served us was quite knowledgeable and friendly. Our service was also very good. Whilst waiting for my meal,I partook in some of the local amber which was excellent. Some of the meals are actually cooked outside over a flame grill where alot of the stir fries are also prepared. Our meal was excellent and reasonably priced. The ambiance of the place was excellent, overlooking South Terrace.
