I got the room with the loft in other building (not the reception one) which was really clean and new. We were really impressed by how nice the room and kitchen were by the hostel standard. Our room got a share balcony facing the waterfall which was one of the highlights of our trip. Even though, we had to share bath room, it seems like we were the only one using it and it just right across our room door. The location was also really great close to the train station and co-op. The staff was helpful and gave us a lot of ideas about beautiful hiking trail.

The Valley Hostel is situated very close to the train station and close by to everything you need since it is in a very small town. It is a budget hostel and it saves on cost by getting you to put on your own sheets and taking them off at check out, thereby keeping the rates low. The room has good heating and high speed wifi, however the shared bathroom could have been cleaner. Overall, great value for money and would stay here again.

Absolutely loved this place...very homely, wonderful helpful staff! Staff made phone calls for us to organise our skydiving and changing dates etc, and were very patient! Great kitchen facilities and clean bathrooms! Very close to train station and the views from the room windows upstairs are phenomenal. Wifi is awesome too...very fast!

We stayed in this hotel for our short stay in Lauterbrunnen. It is within walking distance to Lauterbrunnen train station. Room was clean and very secure. The hostel itself was very clean and you are not allowed to use your own shoes inside the house, had to change into a slipper. The room we booked was a double bed room and facing the mountains. Very nice view. Recommended!

Room tip: Check in was late in the afternoon. If you arrive early,go and have a cup of coffee at the nearby coffee shop and enjoy the view while waiting to check in. Or you can take the train up to Kleinne Scheidegg/Jungfrau peak. You can leave your bags at the hostel.

Booked this due to the good reviews it had and upon arrival it did seem like a nice place with clean rooms and friendly receptionist lady. However the next morning we tried to cook breakfast and was told by the guy that kitchen is closed at ten which we didn't know. So I explained that we were both sick with a cold which is why we slept in and that we didn't know there was a sign in the kitchen. He still refused us and called me a liar and that I should have known. I pleaded again to just let us eat something hot cause we were sick then he got right in my face and started yelling saying hes the owner and these are the rules and told us we had 5 min to pack and leave.

I have never been treated so rudely before.
