You can take a leisurely 40 minute walk to the falls from Lauterbrunnen. Once there you are taken up in a tunnel lift a short way then walk along nice tracks right along side the falls and even inside the rock.

It's not everyday you get to see a mountain's glacier run through the middle of it! So cool! Costs a little bit of money to go up, but it's worth the experience. There are several steps but it's not difficult (just don't slip).

We loved walking through the mountain to see the falls! We went by foot from town in less than an hour and were amazed at the beauty. It was worth the visit.

There are many stairs to climb so be prepared, they do have an elevator for part of the climb. We walked the entire way and it was so beautiful and worth the effort to see these underground falls. The colors and and sounds were awesome. You will get a little spray but nothing to worry about. This is a must see if you are in shape.
