“Just Beautiful!”
Reviewed July 6, 2014

We could see the Staubbach Fall from the town of Lauterbrunnen. It is just a short walk from town to the base of the fall. We did not go up to the falls but we could see the path that takes you there - looks like there is a walkway to take you behind the falls as well. The height that this fall starts at is truly incredible and the sound of the roaring water is amazing. The valley of waterfalls does not disappoint.

“View From Hotel Staubbach”
Reviewed June 30, 2014

We got a great view of this falls from our hotel. Went by 10 am in the morning to this falls. It was like a small hiking. From the top the falls and the village's view was fantastic.

“This waterfall is a just like all the other waterfalls”
Reviewed June 25, 2014

I'm a little surprised at the stellar reviews here. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice waterfall, but waterfalls are a dime a dozen in this area, and this one was no better/worse than all the others. If you are in the area and have some time to kill, it's certainly a nice little walk up, and the "walk behind the falls" is nice-but-not-thrilling. Grab the trekking poles, they help with the short but steep climb up, and the wet ground underfoot. I'd say we spent about 30 minutes going up and back.

Short hike up through a tunnel to the fall and you can see the valley (almost) through the backside of the waterfall. Worth the time to get there.

“Tough hike to nothing”
Reviewed June 11, 2014

This is a valley with a thousand waterfalls according to the conductor on the Jungfrau railroad and I thought my other review was about Staubbach Fall, so ignore it.
This was falls the locals told us you could walk behind. Nope, and quite uphill, but short and scenic. Look out for the black sheep in the herd.
