Very spacious rooms with all amenities for a nice relaxing stay. Dinner experience was a must and all was very tasty and fresh( the ameijoas a Bulhao Pato were divine). I loved all the gardens very well looked after, and having the names of the plants and local trees on, was a great pleasure to discover. Breakfast was a unique experience with all local fruits and cakes( I Has 2 slices of the Bolo de Requeijao). We will be back soon.

Room tip: Suite 26 was Very Special

Set in steeply rolling hills a short drive from the town of Tavira. there are lovely countryside views and peeps to distant sea from this recently upgraded hotel. The rooms are large and well fitted all with balconies or patios. Set in tended gardens paths are set out for a stroll and there is a swimming pool - though we did not use it in December! Great food and wine. The taste of Portugal. Walking opportunities abound in the surrounding countryside.

From the warm welcome we received, to the beautiful view and tranquil grounds, to the lovely and well-appointed bedroom, our stay was memorable. The breakfast was generous and delicious, the Jacuzzi relaxing. So easy to get to the downtown area, but far enough away from the crowds.A special thank you to Tiara for her graciousness in showing us around, giving directions, etc. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Where to start? The staff were all extremely friendly, helpful, professional and very genuine. Every single person we encountered had these qualities. The room was clean, expansive and comfortable with a nice deck and good view (we were on the top (2nd) floor). The groundskeeper works continuously and everything is pleasing. The design of the expansive grounds with the pool is well thought through. There are many lovely places for people to sit and be with their thoughts or talk to one another Breakfast was varied, generous and pleasant. The dinner restaurant is incredible and the Fado night was really heartwarming. Thanks for acknowledging my wife's birthday with a song and a bottle of bubbly. Neither one of us knew this was coming. It was a total surprise by a caring staff. These types of actions and responses are nurtured from the top. The owner has a vision. Though I did not meet him personally I did overhear him speak to someone about this property and he did so with deep, justifiable pride. There are so many great memories of our time in Hotel Rural Quinta do Marco both from a people and place perspective. We hope to return! PS. Parking is secure and easy and there are several locations (Tavira, Faro, Silves being among them) which are all within fairly easy driving distances. So, lots to do. When you return, come back and soak in the ambiance, enjoy your room and terrace, take a dip in the pool, have a snack and or a drink from the bar. In all my travels, there are four places I would gladly return time and time again and this is one of them. I would love to have the financial resources to bring these owners together in the off season so they might talk with one another and share what they have accomplished, both from a constructive and internal perspective.

Room tip: The rooms on the second floor have the most expansive terrace views, though the other rooms with their patios are very nice as well
