“Off-putting!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 24, 2011

I have eaten here once - not great to say the least. The food you get doesnt live up to the menu. Good wine list though! But even if this was the best restaurant in Tavira - which it certainly isnt -I wouldnt eat here. This is because of the overly pushy, almost agressive, touting for your custom that goes on when you cross the Roman Bridge. Unacceptable.

“Very creepy-this guy who says he is French (but is Portuguese) hawks for customers”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 23, 2011

The food is inventive, but not always fresh. In any event, one has to wonder at how they hawk for customers. We won't go there anymore, because it's creepy. Also too cold and damp except in summer. The food can be good, but is not always fresh. The building has great atmosphere--old cave like (maybe wine storage?) very interesting and tasteful, but some rooms are a bit dark.

“Amazing Food, Service, Atmosphere & Price!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 15, 2011

Museu Do Vinho was recommended to us by a gentleman who worked at our hotel and had a second job promoting for this restaurant.

We decided to visit this restaurant on our last night Tavira. Everything about this place was fantastic! Service was great and they have a lovely little courtyard out the back.

We shared the goats cheese and tomato crumble for entree, I had the Ribeye steak in caramalised onion sauce. It was to die for! The steak was so tender that I only needed my butter knife to cut it with, the meat just melted in my mouth. My partner had the lamb shank which was also Amazing, the meat fell off the bone and had a wonderful flavour with creamy mash potato.

This restaurant has great reviews and there is a reason why, it is fantastic!! For the service and quality of food the price was very reasonable at 15 Euro for our main meals.

The only downfall was that we did not eat there sooner, as I would of loved to have gone back again.

10/10 a restaurant not to be missed!

“The perfect evening - a real paradise for food lovers”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2011

We have been passing near this restaurant last year, and my husbant remained with this funny feeling that we should come back. And we did. We were astonished. The best misture of french and portugheze cuisine in 1 dish. A state of the art service. And Walter gave us the best recommendations for wine. What else can we say: don't miss it when you go to Tavira AND congratulations to these guys for what they have achieved!!
