“Good lunch”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 14, 2012

We stopped here for lunch. We ordered off the lunch menu and everything was very tasty - and our two meals came out looking very different and not orange. Both were hot temperature-wise, to the spiciness we had requested (mild for me, spicy for my husband), and were flavorful. Ingredients were fresh. The naan was very good. Absolutely no complaints; would go back again. Great option if you have vegetarians (none of the local fish places seem to offer any vegetarian options).

“Disgrace, can't believe people have given this 5*”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 26, 2012

While I was on holiday I really wanted an Indian. At home I have an Indian every week and I know what an ok meal is if they struggle to make it properly,
But here is a disgrace. I ordered a korma and it was bright orange and tasted disgusting. Nothing like it was meant or like any other dish I have tried. My boyfriends was also uneatable. We spent €35 and something we have two spoons full of.

“OK for something different”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 23, 2012

If you fancy an Indian instead of the usual Mediterranean Fayre then the Khinoor makes a change.
Service good and prompt.
Starter of Samosa was not the most enticing and a little dry. Lamb Gosht Curry Main was excellent, hot, spicy and succulent.
Overall enjoyable meal, just wished they'd take the TV away which no-one really watches.

“A good variation on all the traditional fish restaurants”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 23, 2012

Of course when you are in Tavira and/or Santa Luzia you should eat fish. But when you stay for a longer period you feel the need to eat meat and something spicy. The restaurant replies in an excellent way to the need for variation. The service is very correct. The food is very tastefull. Moreover one can make a good choice of wine. Excellent Indian hospitily in Tavira.

“Does what it says on the can ... just”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 23, 2012

We visited the Kohinoor the other evening and "enjoyed" a couple of reasonable curries. Starters (onion bhaji & samosa) were not up to much ... a bit limp and dry respectively, the mains (karahi murgh) were nothing spectacular, but nothing bad either. An OK meal.
