“very tasty food but expensive drinks”
Reviewed October 7, 2012

Had a beautiful meal last week in this restaurant. Veg Pakora, Saag Aloo, Bombay potato and Pilau rice with garlic naan. Very tasty food with lovely flavours and nice presentation at a reasonable price but I thought 6 euros for a Cobra Lager was rather expensive. Overall I would recommend this place.

“An indian meal to remember”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

I visited this restaurant in September - a party of four ,the food was excellent, very attentive waiters and atmosphere sitting outside was very good. The subtle flavours of my dish which was a madras curry were excellent. We commenced with poppadoms, chutneys etc. followed by onion bajhees. Others in the party varied from Chicken khorma, to Vindaloo, accompanies by garlic naan. To wash it down we had a good bottle of white wine. We all enjoyed our meal, an Indian Restaurant which I would recommend to anyone visiting Tavira.

“Am I one of the few that found it bad?”
Reviewed September 30, 2012 via mobile

I am quite surprised by the number of positive reviews about this restaurant, even from those who claim to have an intimate knowledge of (British ?) Indian cuisine. If you truly appreciate PROPER traditional Indian food then stay away from this place. Worst Indian meal I have ever had and worst meal in Tavira!

“Lovely indian restaurant in Tavira”
Reviewed September 26, 2012

We had a lovely meal in Tavira in September 2012. Popadums(really good- crisp and tasty) and pickles, followed by a Chicken Tikka Masala that was mild but alot more tasty than usual English fayre, with rice, a fantastic tandoori fish dish that was huge, peshwari naan which was lovely and salad of tomatoes and onions (only disappointing part of meal- had dried herbs on...). We also had a couple of local beers and a bottle of house wine.

The meal was lovely and plentiful, the setting great in the sides streets of Tavira. Staff were attentive without being overbearing and were happy for us to sit and enjoy our wine after our meal. There are many great portuguese restaurants we have visited, but if you fancy a change of cuising I recommend this restaurant. Bill was around 30 euro.

“FRIENDLY STAFF - SUBTLE FLAVOURS”
Reviewed August 29, 2012

Deceptively large restuarant with an nice outside patio in good weather. The subtlety of the sauces set it above other Indian Restuarants in the town and portions-prices are very reasonable.
