“Unique nature experience”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

At Denmark northern point meets two seas, the light is always especially in all kind of weather. From the parking lot, where there is a payment system, there is a 20-30 min walk, you can also choose to go by the "Sandorm". It's a tractor/bus that goes all the way to the point.

“Nice view and walk”
Reviewed September 10, 2012

When visiting Skagen you really need to go to this point. It shows Denmark from the best and it worst. The view is beutiful and so is the the walk out there but the signs and the water will remind you why so many people has drowned in this area. It can be tricky. If good weather walk all the way backto Skagen along the beach.

“The meeting of seas”
Reviewed August 31, 2012

At the northern most tip of Denmark is the reason why most people visit Skagen. This is the place where the natural phenomenon of the Baltic and North Seas meet. The tides of which collide into each other just off the shore. Although there are signs everywhere telling people not to swim due to the tides/currents, children and adults were still in the water having their pictures taken with the colliding waters in the background. We walked along the beach to see it, which passed some old world war 2 bunkers and had a combination of pebbles and sand underfoot (more sand the closer you got to the end). If you dont want to walk, you can park the car at the visitors centre and catch the sand snake which will take you to the end of the beach (a tractor pulling an enclosed trailer costing 25kr for adults and 12 kr for children (round trip)). There is an art gallery, restaurant and shop at the visitors centre. We chose to walk back along the cycle lane into the town.

“Walking to the end of Denmark”
Reviewed August 27, 2012

It is possible to get there by car and "Slangen", a tourist train pulled by a tractor. But it is more rewarding to walk there along the beach from central Skagen even if the sand makes this sort of heavy. Wgen vi visited we went along the North beach (Nordstrand) afterwards for an hour or so and then turned inland following roads back to Skagen. Artists have for more than 100 years used the light and colours along these beaches, so there is not much I cans ay except for that it is amazing and gives a great feeling of heaven and sea.

This is one attarction you should not miss in Northern Jutland. The experience of waves from two different seas meeting is both fun and unique.
