“Great location and good value for money”
Reviewed August 2, 2014

This small hotel is perfectly located in the center of town and at the one end of the pedestrian street. It is in walking distance to the harbor, beach and many attractions. The room was a bit small but very clean and functional. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. The breakfast buffer is several notches above what you would expect for such a hotel - simply delicious. A strong recommendation for your family stay in Skagen.

The hotel is in the centre of Skagen and the rooms are modern, clean and rather spacious. This is not a fancy hotel, but it's good value for money. The staff is informative and nice and the breakfast buffet is ok.

We spent a weekend at Skagen and stayed at Hotel Petit. It was an excellent place to stay on a first visit. Yes, Skagen is very small; but location still matters and it had excellent location, practically across the street from the train station, couple of minutes walk to the harbor as well as the Skagen Museum. We had a good-sized family room on the street level, which had had a double bed and a bed for my 10-year-old son, a desk and a chair, and there was still some space left for moving around. As another reviewer said luggage storage is a potential issue. Overall, thought, it was a clean, bright, large room. The breakfast was very good. There was also "gratis" coffee and tea from the vending machine. The staff was very nice and helpful. There was a calmness to it we liked very much. I think it was somewhat overpriced, but that is Skagen for you. All in all, we were very happy with it and if we revisit Skagen, we'll definitely stay there.

We stayed with our adult daughter (who lives in Copenhagen) for 1 night in this perfect hotel. It is very clean and the rooms are a good size. The owners are very friendly and genuinely helpful. It is so pleasant when the owners offer tips on what to see in the town.
The location of the hotel is terrific and so close to all the sights of Skagen. Breakfast was good to start your day.
We really enjoyed our stay in Skagen.

Room Tip: Choose a room at the back of the hotel in summer. We did not stay in summer but traffic noise would...

Stayed here for four nights in September. I chose to come here based on Tripadvisor reviews and was not disappointed. The room was very nice, bright and clean, also very quiet (that may be different in the summer, when Skagen is a rather busy/hectic place). I chose one of the rooms "with a little extra space" (premium), which was 100 DKR (less than 15 EUR) more than the standard room. It had a writing desk, two armchairs and a small table, also the bathroom was quite spacious, all of which I find quite convenient when staying for more than a night.
Breakfast was really good, no "fancy" stuff, but a very lovely choice of rolls and breads, cereals, cheese, cold cuts, jams/marmelade/honey, boiled eggs etc. Close to shops, railway station and Kattegat. Very pleasant staff.

Room Tip: If you can spend a little bit more (100 DKR, less than 15 EUR), choose a premium room, which is more...

We only stayed two nights here, I wish it had been longer! The owners of this hotel are quite pleasant and they seem genuinely interested in your happiness. We were in room 153, my husband, myself and our 3 year old. There was a pullout sofa, but our son ended up sleeping between us in the bed, and it worked out. The room was clean. The area was great, we could walk all over Skagen, to the beach, to town, and the harbor. The breakfast offered at Hotel Petit was very good. Many choices. A lot of teas to choose from, bagged and loose leaf. Fresh fruit. Cereal and cold cuts and yogurt, breads, like I said lots to choose from. I loved the town of Skagen, lots of shops to see and the harbor was pretty with lots of restaurants to choose from. I hope we can return to Skagen some day and spend more time there.

I had booked a triple room, assuming it would be a good-sized room. It was VERY small, to the extent that my mom, daughter and I had limited area to open and especially store luggage.

The staff was great, the breakfast was superb and the location was perfect - a few blocks to the museum on one side and a few blocks to dining on the other.
