“Most beautiful rose garden and fabulous palace”
Reviewed July 23, 2012

The visit to the palace was full of amazing delights. The restoration left little to the imagination of the opulent lifestyle of the rich and famous, however it was the garden that took your breath away. Every conceivable rose was in bloom and it went for as far as you could see. The smell of roses was beautiful and the colours were astounding. Absolutely worth visiting when you are in Latvia.

Rundale palace is very beautiful and intresting. Both the inside and outside is just amazing. The garden is very nice as well. I recommend seeing Rudale palace if you are in the area. It is something you will not regret!

“The most beautiful palace in Latvia”
Reviewed May 4, 2012

Have been there several times. Rundale is probably the most beautiful palace with the park in the Baltics. It reminds both Peterghof (near St. Petersburg) and Versailles (near Paris). Designed by the famous architect Rastrelli. If you plan going out of Riga come to see it. Combine visiting this palace with another one Mezotne Palace located nearby.

Reviewed March 28, 2012

The palace is interesting, but the try best thing is the garden, when all the roses are blooming - mid - end of june.

“A stunning palace”
Reviewed March 27, 2012

I read good reviews on this palace before we visited. The palace itself is stunning. However, only one wing of the palace is opened for visitors at the time we visited. There were some rooms under restoration. We could watch the restoration process at work. The ballroom of the palace was elegant almost as elegant as the the Versailles'. However, there was not any english captions, nor the audio to rent. There was absolutely no way we could understand the history of the palace. With only one-wing opened and no translation in English, we finished the tour within an hour. I understood that the time we visited the palace was a low season, no restaurant or cafeteria was opened.
