This choice was a recommendation from a native when asking her for a place to taste local cuisine. This restaurant is specialized particularly in the Karaite cuisine based on pastry filled with meat. We learnt the Karaites left their influence on the Lithuanian cuisine in the past.
We ordered several small pies (Kibinai) filled with lamb, pork, beef or chicken. And also some sort of rounded patties (Kiubete), with funny cherry wine.
Personally speaking, I would say we were not passionate about this sort of patties and pies, maybe just because they seemed no so much tasty. But, the point is the Kibinai and Kiubete are worthy to taste just due to the fact they are something totally different.
And, very important, this is good value for money.
