Excellent and classy experience. For Riga a bit pricey, but still well worth the money spent.

The food looked like art installations and the taste was superb.

The waiters are like servants, with dresses made to make them "invisible" and they would rarely show emotions. For us that was a bit weird. Considering what customers the place seems to want to attract I guess the approach is understandable. We tried to do our best to make them smile and laugh, but we only managed to make them smile slightly. :)

Very sadly that this is a typical Eastern European restaurant in regard of you are ordering 10-15 years old wine or older. Our experience on a BD dinner:
1) somelie has recommended/confirmed the wine year 1995 from Saint Emillion;
2) somelie has checked the wine firstly (has tried it) and found that the wine is not good or at least with a strange flavour/taste -he told us if we don't like it he will change it;
3) we confirmed that the wine is not good (with a strange taste) - we asked for another one year 2001;
4) somelie brought us the second wine after 20 min waiting and told that the previous one is actually fine, that it has just a specific taste after that the bill included both of them.

It was not the first visit of the restaurant but who is care ?

Nice little posh place with very good food. They serve nice little amuse bouches made with the "traditional" gourmet techniques like dehydrators and liquid nitrogen at the table. Delicate and delicious creation, however. The mains are mostly variations over the theme "steak". They do this very well and roll in on a small table the raw (and very impressively looking) meets to let you select your cut and size. I would wish a little more creativity on the sauces, condiments and garnitures for the mains for a restaurant like this.
This was, however, by far the best restaurant I visited in Riga during a 12 day business stay.

I managed to get a table in this restaurant. Normally that can be difficult due to its popularity. I had as starter the foia-gra ravioli which was very good. Prior to main course the served something which more or less looked as a chemical circus with nitrogen. The main course was breast of duck. The duck was juicy but not very tender. That disappointed me a bit. The restaurant was good, but to my judgement not the best in Riga.

Really excellent restaurant. My vegetarian risotto was fabulous. Wonderful service. I really can't much more, because everything has already been said in previous reviews.
