“Interesting experience”
Reviewed September 19, 2012

Uf, what a great place! Design is so nice, atmosphere so light and welcoming.
Service friendly and helpful, will help you to choose something that you will really like. Sometimes not everything is available, but menu has different options. I suggest to go for a lunch, around 13-15 prices are great than!
It was very interesting experience, even you are not vegetarian or vegan, but I really enjoyed! Food has home made taste, but combinations are just amazing and you will get a lot of inspiration for food there.

“Original idea, poor execution”
Reviewed August 3, 2012

1. Great inventive smoothies, can't mess that up.
2. Sluggish amateurish service
3. The foods themselves are quite basic and "home made" quality, meaning no top shef making miracles here. In many better restaurants you will find more flavourful salads than the raw mess you get here. If you are vegan you might have no other choice, but also the vegan foods are an average put-together with no special flavour.
4. Overall very basic. Idea in itself is original, but execution poor.

“Depends!”
Reviewed July 21, 2012

I first wandered there around 8.15pm (web site says opens till 9PM), and the cashier said the chef was just walking out the door! He suggested I come next day.

I went the next day for lunch, and the place was packed (In a nice pleasant way). They have a lunch special for 3.50 that is very popular. It consists of 1 starter (soup or something that is hot or cold),a nd one main dish (again hot or cold). That day I had the carrot hot oup,a nd the raw pizza. Both wre awesome. I had a large glass of frsh orange juice with a shot of wheatgrass. It was just perfect, and surprisingly for Latvia, all of the staff were actually smiling, were pleasant and generally seemed very happy compared to the rest of the country folks!

I again went for dinner, reached there at 8pm, and saw the chef having a meal at the counter with his staff. It was raining so I guess they were not expecting any one, and had decided to call it a day. I had seen their ala carte menu and was excited about ordering certain items. Well, right away teh chef made it clear that only a couple of items from the day's lunch menu would be available. I had the cold berry soup (basically a smoothie served in a bowl) that was quite good, and the cucumber pasta. It was made to look like linguini in a pesto sauce, but was a big let down. There is no way any one can eat so much of cucumber at a time! Over all I was very disappointed.

I am a big fan of raw cuisine, and it was a pleasant surprise to find this place in gard core carnivore Latvia. Go at teh right time, order from the a la carte menu, and enjoy a great meal.

“Great concept and delicious food, waiting time however is forever”
Reviewed April 9, 2012

We were a couple and had as a starter the raw food bread with guacamole. For main we ordered the raw lasagna and the burek (something more). On top of that, we ordered two shots, as well as a warm apple cinnamon drink and a glass of water.

First off; lovely interior, great concept and a really interesting menu. We got a nice welcome too.

The big, or let's say, enormous problem here is the time that it takes to get the food. It took something like 15-20 minutes to get the warm apple cinnamon drink and a glass of water. Then, another 10-15 minutes for the starter to arrive. The starter was delicous and really tasty and we can really recommend this one. But then it took something like 1 ½ hr to get our main dishes. Although one other guest recieved his food before ours, other guests waited a very long time too to get their food - in fact, I did not see any other of the guests get their food before we got ours - the only thing they got out was the drinks.

We were not informed about the long time it took, and as the minutes and hour passed, the girl working behind the counter and as a waitress got more stressed and stressed and started to look down into the floor to not meet our eyes looking curious about where our main dishes had gone. This is really the big problem - A. If the food takes forever to prepare and cook - inform the guests about it (the guy sitting next to us was very frustrated about the long wait as well). B. If it should not take forever to get the food out - please say so! The girl working there did not in any way excuse herself or inform us about any circumstances that made it take longer...

When we did recieve our mains, both tasted really well. The lasagna was size-wise more like a starter, while the burek was good in terms of size for being a main course. However, as it had taken way longer than we thought, we were also of course more hungry and at that time these mains did not fill our bellies enough.

As for the shots we had ordered, these were nowhere to be seen. And frankly, when we had eaten up our mains, we did not want to ask for these so we just paid and left. At the counter when we paid there was another chance of informing us about circumstances or excuse for the long time to get out our mains, but no such thing either. Taking the price into consideration, somewhere around 13-14 LVL, this was a bit steep for the long waiting time and the small sizes.

In general; really good concept, delicious food but this really does not help when it takes forever, the service is pretty bad in terms of information and the prices are high compared to what you get.
