Our cuisine boasts a wide range of culinary influences from South Africa to Northern Europe and our wine list includes a unique selection of fine wines from South Africa as well as the New and Old Worlds. The team at Kilimanjaro is dedicated to make every visit a memorable experience.

We ventured into Kilimanjaro as it was en route to our next venue - what a great decision. The wine selection is excellent, as is the creative menu. Service was very efficient and the little touches, such as the sorbet, all added to the experience of fine dining. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his steak. As I do not eat red meat (or exotic meat) I could not quite get myself to give 5 stars.

I went there twice, to taste camel and crocodile: both agreeable. Anyhow, they have "normal" food too, at a good value for money. Dishes arrive artfully presented. To start you have a small compliment of the house, and before the main course they serve a "trou normand" (usually a sorbet). The unruffled service - in black gloves - is helpful and well-informed. The wine list is well thought-out, with several wines by the glass (try the South African ones).

Great service and to top it off, amazing food. Food was prepared meticulously and to perfection. I loved the complementary amuse bouche and palate cleansers that were given to us.

Kilimanjaro in Riga rates clearly among top restaurants in Riga. Was asking for new stars in Riga and Kilimanjaro was one suggested from the hotel. Others I had my experiences already. Decided to take a chance and surprise ourselves. And it was forth of it....small, well decorated not too loud. Extremely friendly staff, felt very welcome from the first moment. Food was delicious and certainly worth the price. Asked for tasting course of the exotic dishes they had in menu and we had it. It was real experience!
Certainly recommended restaurant in Riga!

Although there are not many African options on the menu, and the ones that there are are very expensive, the quality of the standard dishes is so high that it doesn't really matter. We had the lamb on a bed of lentils and beef with mushrooms and potato, and the quality of both meats was out of this world.

The decor and staff were also great, and even if the restaurant is not cheap, it's worth it!
