The address is Dzirnavu iela 62, close to the Radisson Latvia highrise building - and not where Tripadvisor places it on the map. We walked a long way to find it, but were happy to insist and finally find it.
Saturday evening, two different wedding parties and just another couple like us. Really enjoied the evening and the food at very reasonable prices - 5-14 L for main courses.

This year, I went there twice in few days. They have good - even if not special - Armenian dishes: very good is the cachapuri (but with a little more cheese it should be excellent), and good the "sunny Armenia" (meat and vegetables oven baked); only fairly good the desserts. The only Armenian wine they suggest is pomegranate, a dessert wine that I like, being not too sweet. With the main course, you can choose among a small list of french, italian, chilean, and other countries good wines. Good the Armenian brandies too. The advertising says "piano music friday, saturday evenings", but there was only the piano, not the pianist! Location is fairly good, prices are correct, efficient the service.

Unfortunately this restaurant is not in the middle of the downtown, but it is quite easy to find. I was surprised about the very reasonable prices, very tasty food, excellent service and about the clean and quiet facilities. F.i. it was a long time ago I visited a reastaurant-toilet, where each visitor has new frottee hand towels. Of cause the quality of the armenian delicacies is much more important than towels...

Overpriced and too pretentious. Not worth paying money for something you can make even better at home and doesn't require chef's skills. No personality, no cleanliness, no good specialities, average service.

Quite an eclectic taste of an interior, not so many Armenian pictures or memorabilia.
Food OK but toned down for Northern European taste buds..why oh why??
Steak and lamb were delicious, so head for the more expensive items on the menu.
Two of us were still eating our main course when the waiter started asking those who had finished it they wanted a dessert - I'm not sure if that's a part of the Armenian service manual.. try somewhere else if you want to find a more genuine restaurant ( e.g.the one in Jurmala)
