ordered filet Stroganoff and got rabbit. But the waitress apologised 34 times and food was good and cheap according to Brussels standards. Original place, not flooded with tourists, original food. Tip: latvians go out LATE, parties start at home around 11 PM, and they show up at large scale in the clubs around 2 AM... beware !!

Typical Latvian place, very cozy. It was crowded and not wondering why: they play live music, the atmosphere is vibrating and the food looked great (had no chance to try, unfortunately...).

I love a place where the locals go. The restaurant immediately imbued with confidence. This medieval restaurant for us was a cheaper alternative to the restaurant Rozengrals, where we wanted to go at first, but they were busy with all the tables. But we do not regret coming to Alu, at least because of the prices. The restaurant is in the basement, there are gloomy and chilly, but felt the medieval era.
There's a scene where sometimes, apparently, live music. We took the local beer, it was delicious, yet they have a tasty brew. There was food beautiful feed on a large plate. Portions are large, we can not eat all the while trying.

Really toiled hard to find out this place as it was quite far from our hotel. But once we reached we didn't like it at all. The restaurant is in the basement and once you are down it is claustrophobic. The paint on the walls are peeling off. We were told that the traditional music and dance will start at 8pm but we were there till 9:30 nothing happened. The beer was Ok but the food was a disaster. Maybe its a place for youngstars as the cost per plate is very affordable. Didn't enjoy much. Very dingy and not lit properly.
