Excellent location, large rooms, great restaurant. Really, try the hamburger. We like to try new food when traveling but sometimes, a burger just sounds right and this is the place for it. I think they put minced garlic in the meat. Yummy. The building is beautiful and the location is right in the thick of things. Right across the street (narrow alley almost) from Hotel Justus which is a bit less expensive but we didn't check that place out. But if you want to save bucks, you might try that and go across the street for a burger.

The location of this beautiful hotel in old town was fantastic. The staff and facilities were impressive and the breakfast selections both authentic and ample. As a matter of fact, the hotel impressed us more than the city.

Bravo ... a renovation in the old town of Riga, easy access to all forms of transportation, the opera, walking along the river, museums. Very creative breakfast and restaurant with an emphasis on organic vegetables. Very clean rooms, spacious and comfortable. An exchange book nook was well stocked. The minimal kitchenette was an unexpected plus. We took advantage of a special offer to experience the local culture and food. Included were a great meal and a private tour of Riga. Really, a bargain.

Room Tip: We asked for an upper floor and were fortunate to have a view of the medieval clock tower. Good to request this when making a reservation.

We booked a three night stay in hotel Neiburgs this Easter weekend. Although there are many more affordable hotels in Riga, we were happy that we chose Neiburgs, for its location is ideal and it is truly a beautiful art nouveau building with very comfortable rooms. We stayed in the studio appartment, which is spacious with a good bed, little seating area and even small kitchen. The bathroom (as well as the rest of the room and hotel actually) is spotlessly clean. Breakfast is nice and the staff is friendly.

All in all the perfect spot for a comfortable weekend away!

We were staying as a family at the Royal Square Hotel in Riga having previously considered spending our stay at Riga at this Hotel. We thought we would pay a visit.

Having viewed the Hotel from the outside looking in, this place ouzes style and sophistication, so after spotting the place earlier on in the day (the hotel is situated on one of the most filmed roads - the recent Sherlock Homes movie was shot in the street) we popped back for an evening meal.

Firstly the restaurant had a great candlelit ambience and the staff were extremely courteous and polite. The choice of menu was both extensive and reasonably priced. Whilst there was no children's menu my 5 year old daughter was able to have a pasta dish for a decent price of just 5 Lats. My wife had a fish dish which she enjoyed and although I had a roast leg of lamb dish in red wine which was extremely tasty there could have been more of it! Pudding was again on the small side, being chocolate fondant and ice cream but well presented and delicious. Wine was reasonable with house wines starting around 12 Lats.

Overall this looked to me to be a great place to stay in terms of location, ambience and style. If the bedrooms are anything like the restaurant and public areas this is th place to stay. Just one request, bigger portions please!

Recommend.
