Nice hotel with good sauna and steam room, but no pool. Well located, within the Old Town. Buffet breakfast good, but not exceptional. Room large and clean, with sofa and kitchenette - but limited tools for cooking. Only 2 teabags supplied at a time, which is not enough for British tea drinkers, wanting refreshment when they come in at night, and first thing in the morning!

Spent two nights at Neiburgs Hotel in a studio apartment. The room was spacious with a sofa, a large bed and a kitchenette. We chose the hotel because of the location, good price and great reviews and I was not disappointed. Staff was friendly and helpful and the room was clean. Breakfast consisted of bread, eggs, cheese, ham, fish, salad, pancakes, fruit, yoghurt, jam, honey, juice, coffee or tea and pastries. Compared to other hotels where the breakfast buffet can be enourmous, this buffet was just right and could feed even a hungry person like myself.

One thing that is good to know is that the room was a bit cold, since it is quite large. Heating the bathroom floor is possible, just contact the staff.

There is also a spa and sauna included in the price but we did not have the time to try it out. Room service is possible and prices were quite reasonable for a three course dinner, according to the information in the hotel pamphlet available in each room.

I would recommend this hotel and I will choose this hotel the next time I'm in riga.

Having stayed here a few times before it was very easy to decide where I stay again. NEIBURGS !!

It truly feels like home , this time I was here for nearly a month. Staff are very friendly and helpful and even if running a fraction late they were happy to serve us breakfast. Food here is very good and a wonderful selection. The rooms are spacious and larger than most.Beds are very comfortable and large. The position in the Old Town is fantastic, central and very quiet.

Had a wonderful white Xmas and brilliant New Year. They were even kind enough to buy me a little Xmas present as this was my third stay in 6 months.Riga is an amazing place to visit and at this hotel they make you feel very welcome.

Look forward to staying here again !

Room Tip: Rooms with view over courtyard very quiet.

Location:
The hotel could not be located on a better spot. It is right in the middle of Old Town Riga. Out from the main door to the right are shops, restaurants, and to major attractions (Parliament, Dome, Swedish Gate etc) and to the left is a brief walk either to the House of Blackheads or to the River Daugava promenade.

Rooms:
We booked 4 rooms and they gave us 3 rooms with the view of the Dome. Actually it is more than just a room because it is also equipped with a mini kitchen and ameneties of one feels like concocting up fresh Latvian dish. It also had a small sitting area and the lights were from Artemide. Bathrooms were also well equipped with all necessary amenities andours even had an ample bathtub.

Service:
Staff were friendly and helpful although there are difficulties in the language sometimes. A smile makes up for it most of the time though..

Overall:
There is a well stacked mini-library in the lobby complete with a dvd/mp3 player to set the mood if one needs a quiet time. Ultra comfy plum colored couches completes the modern ecclectic decoration of the lobby.

Room Tip: Kindly ask the receptionist to get you a room with the view of the dome.. the best are of course fro...

This is a very good hotel, located in the old town of RIga. The rooms are spacious for european standards and the prices are great. i would say value for money. Breakfast was Superb! We stayed a year ago, and until now, i still cannot forget the smoked salmon included in the breakfast buffet.

We had no problems with the hotel. And i would highly recommend you stay in this area if you are in Riga for touristic reasons! I wont be coming back anytime soon, but if i were to come back or to recommend a hotel to families / couples who are in Riga for a Holiday, this hotel would be it!

Stayed for 3 nights in Sept. Great location in the Old Town. Spacious deluxe corner studio, king size bed, with sitting area and kitchenette with microwave and dishes for carry-in. Small table and chairs. Nice décor. Well designed bathroom with magnifying mirror, and plenty of space to spread out/store toiletries and dop kit items. Good lighting. All the usual amenities—robe, etc. Nice breakfast buffet and attentive restaurant staff. Also ate dinner here which was VERY good, and fairly priced. HOWEVER, in spite of double (or triple) glazed windows we were awakened and kept awake each night between midnight and 4am by the pulsating sound of a disco and/or bicycle cab with boom box. (We live in a large city and are use to city noise, but not this intense). When we complained the staff said there is nothing they could do about it. The front desk staff also needs more training and/or more people and/or a better sense of service and urgency. When we asked about tours we were told the tourist office would know better than they. When our safe got stuck as we were checking out trying to catch the Lux Bus we were told, “ I can’t do it until 11 because I am the only one here however we did get it open.”

Room Tip: Ask for a quite room where you won't here the outside noise during the night

The Neiburgs Hotel in Riga was an unexpected gem. Yes, the reviews were great and the city is full of charm, but we were delighted by the huge and beautifully-decorated room, top-notch service (a helpful porter who parked our car for us before the rental agency picked it up), and wonderful restaurant. We saw but didn't partake in the sauna/spa, although it looked nice; but we did wander around the huge hotel room, wondering what stories it once told. My wife and I (in our 40s) were traveling with her parents (70s, and just as active as we are). All are photographers, and the mixed weather in late June only made our photos better. Overall, excellent!
