Compare to visiting this hotel some times before we were amazed about it... In spite of booking and payment of superior number we received ordinary...and nothing could help to explain staff to do something..just no answer. Additional bed was broken...and again no answer. Breakfast was great.Rooms pretty clean.SPA pretty good except of staff...little bit rough.Location in Jurmala just great. May be we will try to next winter...but the impression is already spoiled.

Me and my family stayed at the hotel for 10 nights. We were satisfied with our room, breakfast and cleanliness. Our room had a Wi-Fi Internet access.
We didn't order any spa because pools and saunas were closed due to repair.
Staff was friendly answering for my requests and questions.
The hotel is at main street of Majori but it was silently at nights.
The nice sand beach with Blue flag is about 300 m from hotel. Pines grow everywhere on the way to the beach. There was a possibility to rent bike at the hotel also.
We were walking to Mezha Park where our daughter spent time.

Tip: Don't exchange money in Jurmala's exchange points due to its high commission rates.
It should exchange in Riga near train station (at Stacya Laukums).

Me and my friend went to Jurmala for 3 nights. We had an superior room, and was satisfied with the room in general. Big room with a sofa group, big balcony and a big bathroom.
It was clean, and the rooms were cleaned everyday. The staff was somewhat helpful, but as said before by others: they are not specially nice, welcoming or smiling.

We did not get to use the pool more then one night because the receptionist told us it was closed. I think this was a misunderstanding because of her poor English.

The food was good, and rather cheap.

Very nice and helpful drivers!! With the hotels own cars/drivers we paid 10 lats.

The treatments were good. The service was not great, but acceptable. Because of the large amount of treatments offered, we tried a lot. Some treatments were great, some were not that good. I would recommend the chocolate -spa massage, and Russian spa massage. The paraffin-treatments of hands and feets was not comfortable, nor pleasant in any way.

Jurmala in general is a beautiful town, with a perfect and beautiful beach. I recommend everybody to take a run or walk there during your stay.

Tip: Go in to Riga and to the skylinebar. Buy a strawberry dackery.. You'll know why, once you've tried it! ;)

They are not serviceminded at all. The hotel are undergoing a renovation of the poolarea. They told us before reservation of the room that the gym would be open though. once there it turned out that wasn't the case. We felt dissapointed and i think they at least could give us an apologise. We will not choose this hotel again since we think how you`re being treated is important.

Hotel Jurmala Spa is beautiful hotel. Rooms are big, clean and comfortable. This is a 4 star hotel, but there were no amenities in the bathroom, which was a minus. New spa section with 5 different saunas was also quite cosy. Unfortunately there was no swimming pool and the steam sauna and salt sauna were a little bit cold (compared to other similar saunas I have been to). Breakfast was excellent, with the biggest variety of different choices.
Staff speaks superb russian ang english.
But the hotel is really hard to find. There were no signs on the main road and we drove back and forward 30 minutes. GPS didn' t help us either. Many streets are one-way only, so we drove many circles in Jurmala, before hitting the right street.

The Jurmala Spa, as suggested by the name, is one of several Spa hotels in the region. Something the Baltic loves. The Spa area takes over 2 entire floors of the hotel and you can bath in mud, be rubbed down with salt and baked in paper. To name but a few. The food here, as elsewhere was good value, though a little more expensive than outside the hotel.

I was at the Hotel with my father for a bit of family reunion - he is Latvian. Usually we stay with relatives but at 86 he decided he deserved a bit of luxuary. The hotel staff were wonderful. Courteous and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel has all you would expect of a modern hotel and well placed for Jurmala beach, sightseeing and shopping. Some of the fittings are a little below par, eg the showerheads. This just prevented it from being excellent, but I would recommend staying there.

The Scandinavians have already discovered Riga and Jurmala. Why not try something different and take the plunge?

I stayed in Jurmala SPA Hotel 2 days for EDEN regional conference. Food was good, conference facilities at great standard. Jurmala is very interesting town to discover, walk on streets and on the beach.

Room Tip: I guess that rooms on the west side are less warm in sunny mornings.
