A little off the absolute center of the tourist eatery strip is Vassilissa. The food was presented beautifully, the service was friendly and professional, and the food was just the right size and not overly priced. With both indoor sitting, and an outdoor terrace out the back there in total I would guess the restaurant can hold at least 50 diners.
The restaurant has a lot of novel elements we enjoyed. And the food is obviously cooked to order, rather than cooked ages ago, frozen, defrosted and reheated in the microwave like is commonly done in way too many "restaurants" these days.
I can't say whether the dishes are authentic Russian or not - but I'd say we will return for the good food and service in a nice atmosphere.
