Modest from the outside but once you step inside you are greeted by friendly, professional staff and a lovely welcoming atmosphere. It is very tastefully decorated in a style in keeping with history but with modern convenience. Room 201 was very large and very comfortable. Very nice bathroom with shower and separate bath. Restaurant is first class. Small menu presented with skill and modern interpretations and flavours. We enjoyed a lovely dinner in the atrium part of the very old cellars. For more privacy there are many small cellar nooks for dining. Just a short walk to the old market square. One of the nicest hotels we have stayed at in three weeks of travelling Poland and the Baltic countries. Certainly one of the best dinners. If you plan to visit Tartu, don't miss staying at Antonius and dining in their restaurant. It's a gem.More
