The room in the attic was out of the ordinary but the conversion was well designed and practical. The food was excellent and the service efficient but not suffocating. The building is lovely and beautifully restored and the location is convenient. Best hotel I've stayed in for ages!

Taking safety measures
We were really positively surprised to find such generous rooms with furniture well suited to the age and style of the house. It is not often that you will find such a combination and consequently we tremendously enjoied our stay at the Hotel Antonius.
Also the bathroom was huge and everything was clean and neat. The beds were to our
complete satisfaction and we had an undisturbed night, despite the fact that our room
was facing the street between the Hotel and the University Building. It was an exceptional experience and I should mention that also the restaurant can be recommended, not only for the quality of the food but also for the good service.
We really enjoyed our one-night stay in the Antonius. The reception area is beautiful and our welcome was friendly. Our attractive room with free wifi, comfortable beds and a huge, well-equipped bathroom was one of the best we have had on our trip to the Baltic. Our room was quiet, and we were able to sleep with the windows open - always our preference - until the city started to wake up at around 7 a.m. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and there were plenty of cooked alternatives. The hotel is very central, on the opposite side of the road to the imposing university building. As it was the weekend, we were able to leave our car right outside the hotel; space is limited, and I advise anyone planning to stay at the Antonius to telephone in advance to check parking options.
the reception is very nice and efficient. rooms are nicely decorated in an old style, but do have all needed amenities available. Wireless works perfect. parking in front of the hotel available (paid ample parking).
Great location just a block from the square. Rooms very very nice, clean and big enough. Breakfast was one of the best I have had. Beds were a little bit too soft for me but OK. This is a hotel that can easily be recommended when visiting Tartu.
Old-style hotel with just 5 rooms (as far as I can see) per floor on 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors. Right opposite the university's main building. Good Internet. Breakfast was very good, especially the cooked-to-order scrambled egg and the poached eggs with smoked salmon.
