Stayed here for one night and loved it. This is truely a botique hotel with charming, comfortable rooms with great decor. Hotel is in a great spot, surrounded by restaurants and near some of the major sights, and a short walk to the bus station and river. If your staying in Tartu, this is the place to go.

Stayed here for 3 nights while visiting family in Tartu. The hotel is centrally located and the quality of the building and decor is extremely high. Breakfast buffet is of good quality although not everything was replenished so latecomers got a bit of a restricted choice.

Not the cheapest in town but very pleasant with helpful and attentive staff,

The place is really cosy and the owners are helpful and friendly. Not to mention they have big big bathrooms which is just like hotel standard! Enjoyed my stay there, highly recommended!

This boutique hotel opposite Tartus' old university was a lovely place to stay - the rooms were comfortable and charmingly furnished and the food and service both excellent - our car was parked for us. This was by far the best hotel we stayed in during our two weeks in the Baltic. It is also very well placed for exploring the old town.

We stayed here for 2 nights, the room was a good size, very clean with nice bathroom and separate dressing area. The hotel is opposite the university building and just around the corner from old town, this hotel is a great base for exploring Tartu, everywhere is within walking distance. We arrived by car and the staff parked the car for us in hotel parking, but we were told it would cost 8 euros a day but on the website it says it was free, we brought this to the staffs attention and they agreed not to charge us (they may now have changed their website) we stayed over a weekend and our room was facing over a courtyard where there was a club that played music very loudly until 5am so would try and get a room that faces the university next time. The Breakfast was very good, lots of options. we did not have dinner here but would recommend 'La Dolce vita' which is an Italian restaurant round the corner which was great value!

We stay only one night at the Antonius hotel. I would say if you are touring the Baltic states, then 1 night is about right here. The hotel is located in a architectural building opposite the university. And we looked out over the university.

The one way streets make arrival by car a challenge, but if you have done your homework you should get there quite easily The hotel has private parking, and we just left our keys at reception, and they parked the car and brought it back when we were leaving.

Tartu is not a big town, and can be explored easily from this hotel on foot. The big main square is heaving with restaurants and cafes. It is primarily a university town, not a tourist town, so most places offer good value for money

If in Tartu, then I would certainly recommend this hotel

My husband and I spent a splendid night in their double room with a bath. Charming service, excellent restaurant, extraordinary breakfast. The best poached eggs on the planet.
Thick towels and a perfect view of the University. Tartu is lovely; the gem of the Baltics.

Room Tip: If you dont like those open plan showers, ask for the room with the bathtub.

The Antonius is a charming and luxurious boutique hotel in the centre of Tartu, directly opposite the university. This brand new hotel offers 16 romantic suites and rooms on 4 floors. The decoration and design of each room was carefully chosen and thought out, combining special colour and wallpaper patterns, wall paintings, fireplaces, stoves, and antique furniture. Some rooms have amazing views of nearby Tartu University, while others face the old town’s red roofs. The Antonius Hotel is located in a building with a long and dignified history, being first mentioned in the historical records of the 16th century. During the subsequent centuries the building was home to a hat shop, the Livonian Noblemen’s Manor House Credit Association, and the famous Guild of Saint Antonius. ... more   less
