This was a really cozy hotel not far from the city center. In London/Paris/NewYork terms it is even really close, the walk takes about 10-15 minutes. Stylish, very clean and very comfprtable. The bathroom in my suite was huge, with a nice bath tub. Room temperature was perfect and the spacious closets as well. Some of the suites have a separate enterance, those are the prettiest and quietest.
The only thig to look out for is the size of the breakfast room and the selection of the food at breakfast. But it is still good quality continental with porrige, sandwiches, muesli and all the coffee and tea you can drink.
Would definitely stay there again and recommend to friends.

Room Tip: The suites no 1-4 are the best, no 2 and 4 are also most quiet.

If you are into Art nouveau at all, and you happen to visit Tartu this is the place to be. It is on the register of historical places, and is very well refurbished.
If you are not into Art nouveau, you still will find a nice place to stay, with free parking and wi-fi.
The only disclaimer is that there are rather steep stairs, although some rooms are on ground level, so enquire if this would be a problem.
Location is close to the city centre and the historical University buildings.

We appreciated the carefully renovated art deco hotel in Tartu's Karlova, 1,5 kilometres away from Raekoja/downtown. Spacey and stylish decorated room was a pleasure as well as the calm surroundings and nice walk to downtown.

Room Tip: Pauliine was our choice; if you choose a suite, you will get a bath tube as well.

Freundliches Personal. Geschmackvoller Dekor. Sauber.

The people in the hotel are really kind, and helpful.
Dinner is served until late, and presents a good quality.
The room (junion suite), is actually a little 2 stories apartment, very well furnished.
Wifi all over.

Breakfast is normal.
Only remark: the sauna is very expensive (30€/h) and you to ask the hotel to switch it on for you. Didn't try

I really enjoyed staying here, even though it was during a heat wave and it took a few days for a standing fan to be supplied to the room. It is a charming hotel and a comfortable place to return to after a days work. It is about a 10-15 min walk into the city centre. The staff were all very pleasant, helpful and friendly.
