Like in so many other cities a industrial block in Tartu has been changed and is still changing into a trendy complex with small artisan boutiques, special shops, restaurants etc. Aparaat is one of them and at least now very popular: all the tables reserved and full on a normal Monday night. The interior is a mixture of previous functions and light furnishing.
The waiters/waitresses were all very young, many of them probably university students on holiday working, but notwithstanding it the service was quite professional.
The menu is moderate, lots of vegetables, burgers, Mediterranean flavors. They have also bread from the next door shop where they sell well known delicious Muhu bread.
The prices are at least now very, very moderate - 13 € for a two dish supper incl. a glass of white wine and a bottle of mineral water.
