While wandering around Tallinn, I came across one of those ancient doors within a door. I looked through into a small sun dappled garden filled with flowers, vines, and fruit trees. Several small patio tables and chairs were placed throughout along with a small gazebo. It was a wine and champagne garden called Mull, which is Estonian for Bubble. The owners told me they named it that because they serve champagne and because they think of their little garden has its own little bubble world. They only use their indoor facilities for special events in which they might cook food. But generally they just serve wine and champagne in the garden and that’s all. They don’t advertise or have a website. Instead they rely on word-of-mouth, good reviews And people like myself who wonder in by happenstance. Ed, and his wife Beatrice are casual welcoming hosts. I ended up spending most of the afternoon with them.
