Although the place doesn't look like much from the outside, the food is very delicious. Traditional Georgian shaslik is the best there. Georgian wines are also good with it, although a bit too pricy.

There's no doubt - Pirosmani has the best shashlik in Tallinn. However the last visits have been a disappointment, the place is constantly overcrowded and no tables available no matter the day and time. Sad side-effects of being popular. I suggest them to expand their space or increase the prices:)

Went here with three friends based on the great other reviews - what a huge mistake. The menu comprises grubby plastic-laminated photographs of lurid-looking food - 'don't worry I said to my friends when they questioned my judgement - it can't be as bad as the pictures, it seems quite popular' - how wrong I could be it was worse and quite a bit of what we got was nothing like the awful photos. Luke warm sloppy gristley stew served on top of a piece of lettuce with quartered potatoes running in fat (we think was supposed to be beef with fries).
Everything else seemed to be deep-fried on the menu.
Add to this the very out of town location (beware taking a taxi from by a hotel - ours to this restaurant, using his metered rate, cost over £30!! The taxi back cost £9, with tip.
With the exception of the very nice man who seemed to be in charge the other staff appeared extremely rude and impatient - the toilets are in the main dining area (yes you get a great view every time someone pops in there) and people kept leaving the doors open which was admittedly yuk but each time one of the staff would walk past and slam it shut as if to say to everyone 'close it in future'.
This place is nothing more than a simple pine-wood slats decorated diner with very low-standard food and the memory of my meal there made me feel nauseous for days afterwards.
