Ambitious Chef and a commanding owner, the combination works. They have gotten it together, Service, food and the setting. The essence of fine dining is alive and well at Bordoo.

One of the classiest and definitely one of the best restaurants in Tallinn. Food, service - everything is just superb. The prices are high as well, but you don't expect the top-end restaurant to be cheap, do you. Definitely is not the place where you go every day, but i do recommend to visit it at least once when in Tallinn.

The food is excellent, so is the interior and the service. It's sad that the place seems to be quite empty on most times because it really is a great restaurant all the way.

Special thanks to the highly professional staff.

The room we were served dinner was placed a long way inside the historical building and was pretty intime and pleasant. We were the only guests, but still things went wrong during the serving. The waiters didn't pay much attendance, and when we were werved our main course, the kitchen, apparantly, had forgotten our side orders and we had to wait with the obvious result, that the beef was more cold than warm and really not that good. That was strange, given the kitchen had to make food for just two guests. But well, appetizers and wine was okay, so maybe we were just out of look this one evening.

Our experience supported the previous reviews. Wonderful and romantic evening if you can afford the price (200 EU for 2 for 4 course chef's choice with paired wines) and are in the mood for a meal that is creative, thoughtful, carefully selected and masterfully prepared and presented. Portions are tiny but that is not what this type of experience is about. This is micro-cuisine, local Estonian ingredients ( wild forest herbs, reduced "vegetable ashes") and both the Chef and our waiter Raymond were generous in sharing their proud selections and their knowledge.
Located in the ancient Three Sisters buildings, if you go I recommend taking your loved one out for a walk at night thru the old Strand gate ( the historic entrance to Tallinn from the Baltic Sea) to view the Fat Margaret cannon tower in the night.
