Description: Everyone is welcome in Von Krahli Aed: vegans and omnivores, paleo enthusiasts and wine lovers, monks and sybarites. We prefer local. We prefer organic. We prefer well-balanced food. We prefer the Nordic crispness and the taste of the food’s ingredient itself. We prefer organic wines. We don’t have any others. All of our dishes can be ordered with or without meat. Our belief is that the pleasure from fresh and pure food is one of the greatest that nature can offer us. We strive to mediate this joy to you with our best skills (according to our best skills?). Welcome to the Embassy of Pure Food!

I was in Tallinn just for a few days and, out of the blue, I decided to try this restaurant. The best idea ever. Each dish we ate was an explosion of sensations in our mouths, I even cried at a certain point! We highly reccomande the chocolate cake with basil ice cream!
The last surprise was the bill: we were in 2 and we ate from the starters to the desserts and drank a good Italian wine for less than 20€, with a quality comparable to a really expensive Italian restaurant.
I'll go back for sure!

The three of us had fish and risotto, pasta and mushrooms and duck, and all dishes were really yummie!
Highly appreciated the selection of bio-wines and food. Makes me feel hopeful about the new generation. Waitress even studied name of ingredients on the menu in many languages (even Dutch our mothertongue), in order to be able to name exactly what you want to order. Need I say more about the service level?

This restaurant is a short walk from the town square. It is well worth walking a little further to get away from the overpriced tourist restaurants to eat somewhere the locals frequent. Having said that, this is not rustic, ethnic fayre but modern Estonian/European cuisine ate very reasonable prices. It is not an extensive menu but there is something to suit most tastes. Food is tasty and well presented with portions just the right size. We managed three courses which we are not always able to do. Beautiful fresh bread is served to begin with. The staff are extremely friendly and service is excellent. Drinks prices are also reasonable.
If you plan to eat here booking is essential, especially at weekends. They are easily contactable by email.

We had our dinner in this nice restaurant during our visit in Tallinn. I have ordered fish tartare as started and beef as main course. The fish tartare is impressive and the steak was very tender.

My friend ordered pumpkin soup and fish risotto as main course. The soup and risotto was nice, just the fish was a bit flat in taste.

We finished our dinner with the creme brulee and apple cake. I love the creme brulee, that was creamy and great in taste.

A special credit to our server, who is a gorgeous and friendly Estonian.

The prtions were perfectly sized -not too big or too small. We had made a reservation, and the restaurant was full -it was Saturday night.
They had a great vegetarian menu (small, but good) so we both ordered vegetarian pastas. They arrived very quickly and were tasty. The wine was rather awful but it was cheap.
The dessert, creme brulee, tasted slightly werid because there was apparently alcohol on it. Anyway it was good and perfectly sized.
The staff was superfriendly but not disturbing.
