This is a rambling, historic building, full of winding passageways and secret staircases. There was imaginative and tasteful work with brick and plaster all through and the historical aspect was well balanced with modern rooms (over 200) and ensuite, although they weren't that large. There was a mini-bar. The breakfast was very broad, a large choice, and in a splendid well lit old pair of rooms at the front, on the first floor. I'd very much recommend it. The desk service was a bit formal but Estonians seem to be serious and not very smiley anyway.
