I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel and will try not to repeat some of the pluses others have mentioned when reviewing it. First, I have to congratulate the wonderful staff. They were extremely helpful answering questions by email that may not have been quintessentiel to know before coming, but which really reassured me. One of them was directions from the ferry arriving from Helskinki. This hotel is just great if you are arriving by ferry from Helsinki. It's only 5 minutes to the right after you get off the boat (only by Tallink which arrives in Terminal D - there are other ferry companies similarly priced, but they won't arrive just next to this hotel.) So similarly, if you are interested in just visiting Helsinki for a day, while looking out to the sea, you have a 5 minute walk to the right to get to terminal D and Tallink (approx. 35€ - be warned ! it's more expensive in Helsinki than in Tallinn.)

Back to other hotel advantages: our room, number 130, had a beautiful view of the port and was just great for a family of 3. Some nice extras: contempory shower room, lovely wooden doors and furniture throughout the room, good cable with a couple of movie channels, comfy beds.

Also, very close by, overlooking the port is an excellent restaurant "City Marina." This place is great because the food is wonderful, and it is so close to the hotel, which can be a bit of a walk back into the center if you are tired from having walked all day. (The service, however, is slow.)

Overall, I could not have found a better deal at this price. Thanks again to the wonderful staff!

Good hotel, clean spacious room, comfy bed not too hard,no kettle for coffee, breakfast was like being in a riot, avoid it unless you go about 6.30AM,lots of tour groups use this hotel and the tour groups all descend at the same time on the breakfast room ,room is far to small, and is overwhelmed, but the food was quite good, but be prepared to eat it standing up (only joking).Quite a long walk to the Old Town across busy roads,The supermarket across the road is interesting seeing all the Finns buying cheap booze, and different foods for sale.

Room Tip: ask for harbour view

Have just got back from 3 nights in Tallinn where I stayed at Hotel Euroopa. The location of the hotel was good, only about 15 minutes' walk from the centre of the Old Town. My room was on the 6th floor which was nice and quiet.

Here's my summary:

Positives: a nice hotel with polite and friendly staff; large room; fantastic modern walk-in shower; adequate breakfast; 5 minutes' walk max to the harbour where you can catch the bus to the airport and also the Tallink ferry for those who want to take a day trip to Helsinki.

Negatives: almost none! Breakfast starts at 7.30am on weekends, which was too late for me to eat before catching my plane back and would be too late for catching the early morning ferry to Helsinki; there were also no views to be had from my room.

Overall, I would definitely stay here again as I thought it was excellent value.

This hotel's location makes it a reasonable choice for a stay in Tallinn. The room was well designed and of good size, though housekeeping was poor. Unfortunately, the weather was warm while staying there but the aircon had not been enabled for the year yet. Buffet breakfast was fair - no decent pastry provided and room was overwhelmed with tour groups and other guests leading to long lines for food and a search for a clean table. Helpful to have shopping center across street that contained an excellent food market and a reasonably-priced restaurant. Old Town and Vilnius's five-year old synogogue fairly convenient for walking.
