Our hotel concierge recommended the museum to us. We took a tram to get here as it about 15 mins away front the old town. It about a 10 min walk from the tram stop. You walk through a park to get there and I would imagine it is beautiful during the summer.
The museum was worth a visit with lots of interesting exhibitions all set out on different floors. Information about the artists were found alongside paintings and very helpful as they were in English. The architecture of the building is stunning and we were glad we made the effort to get out of the old town for a few hours.

Another superb Tallinn experience. A few yards from Peter the Great's House this modern gallery is easy to walk around. Something here for everyone - fashion; oil paintings; modern art; a large area full of carved heads with sound all around, rather unnerving. And do try the restaurant - hot soup very good

The story of Estonia lies within these modern walls. So much thought was put into how the building melds with the surrounding park. Inside is sleek and modern and you can trace the country's history from centuries-old paintings on the first floor to the revolutionary, angry modern expression on the fifth floor.

Not least the works of Estonian artists are worth seeing. Many of the works relate to the Soviet period and reflect the sufferings and frustrations of the Estonian people.
The modern building complex is an architectural masterpiece.

Fashion exhibition was interesting - Estonian fashion through the last century, during the cold war. Well exhibited. I didn't like much of the modern art on the top floor, except for a short film "shaken not stirred" which explained something about local perceptions of people and their backgrounds - but the paintings were interesting and amazing to think that many must have been hidden for years during the Russian occupation.
