“Nice Hotel in Old Town”
Reviewed July 31, 2013

Hotel Telegraaf is centrally located in the Old Town. Everything was within walking distance.
We had well designed newly renovated room with pretty, modern furnishings, but not over-done.
Hotel has very nice back garden, but unfortunately, because of the weather conditions, we had no chance to enjoy breakfast outside.
The breakfast was very satisfying - much choice, including local delicacies and sparkling wine. Wifi and breakfast both included in room rate.
There is also small, but relaxing spa area, including small swimming pool. The pool and sauna area was good, but not really enjoyable, if there are more than 6 people in the spa area.
I would recommend this Hotel for city trips, short visits to Tallinn, business meetings. In my opinion, this Hotel is more suitable for travelers without small children.
Expectations were high, but my overall rating is "very good" 8/10.

Room Tip: If you really want to enjoy spa, choose another Hotel.

Excellent location, clean rooms. The breakfast spread was a nice surprise. Very accommodating staff. We really enjoyed being able to open the windows and take in the fresh air. Even with the windows open we didn't hear a lot of street noise.

It was Ranked #1 in trip advisor, my expectation was high. Had a weekend trip with family, When we arrived to hotel at noon with a stroller, lobby has a bit of stairs until we get to reception, luckily there was a customer from the hotel help to carry the stroller up, no staff see we need help, then the receptionist just told us our room won't be ready until 4pm without a reason but they could help us to store the luggage. It caught us off guard, We were expected we can check in right away so we can feed the baby and change diaper before we go out again, obviously we couldn't do that, the lobby is small without restroom for mommy and baby. After we finally get to fix everything in a corner of the lobby, before we step out 1 1/2 hour after, the recepitionist just shout and said our room is ready. The room is spacious but with two single bed which don't quite understand supposedly for couple and a baby, washroom is clean but one bathrobe for two adults? luckily they provide a crib for baby, the interior of whole room is black, red and grey which is bit dark and dull for personal taste, they do have some very beautiful furnishing for example old style dial phone on the table. At night the air-conditioning turn off itself and we had a long day outside already,my heat exhaustion didn't get any 'better', the pillow is way too soft, didn't sleep well at all and got the worse heat stroke the next morning, for that reason couldn't even try their breakfast. Ps. they do not provide kettle in the room due to ?? This is hotel might be great for honey moon, but definitely not family friendly hotel. But If you go there, must try the restaurant in the hotel, very delicious!

We stayed here in July 2013 for one night in Tallinn. The converted post office was the perfect place to rest and recover mid-way through our Baltic tour. The location right in the heart of old town Tallinn was perfect. Everything we wanted to see (in one day only) was within in walking distance to the hotel. The receptionist was helpful and gave us an excellent dinner recommendation nearby. Beds were plush and cozy and the room was surprisingly spacious. Wifi and breakfast both included made our stay that much easier. Loved this hotel and would stay here again if we go back!

Very nice, but not stellar. I guess expectations were high, but when you don't even get the type of room you have received confirmation on,and nobody bothers to let you know, that is a bad start to a luxury experience. In any case a nice but normal hotel, well located.

Friends and I arranged my husband a surprise birthday party at the Telegraaf. All the arrangements with the hotel went perfectly and very smoothly and the service over all was excellent. The hotel is very stylish and located in the heart of the Old Town, close to all the interesting places. It is truly luxurious to stay there. It's also nice to visit the spa and use it's services while staying at the hotel. The breakfast is lovely; try the porridge!!Yum! Higly recommendable!

Room Tip: The corner suite we stayed in was spacious and very quiet, all the rooms our friends stayed at were...

My wife and I stayed here on July 12/13th. We were upgraded to a suite which was a fantastic surprise, it was huge and had every luxury you could wish for.

The staff were efficient, polite, friendly and spoke very good English which was great help to us.
Breakfast was plentiful, my wife asked for scrambled eggs well done as the ones on display were runny, this was done promptly with a smile. The next morning the waitress remembered and asked if she would like them again.

The decor is old charm which works.

The hotel is 1 minute away from the main square, if you go out the back gate from the garden you are there.

We would highly recommend a stay here.
