I have to start with the lovely entrance to the magnificent old building transferred to a little cozy hotel just took my breath away. I have to admit that I didn’t know what to expect regarding to the fact that my boyfriend had booked and fixed everything to celebrate my birthday, but I also have to say that at least I didn’t get disappointed.
We were warmly welcomed even though we arrived in the middle of the night by a lovely receptionist that had taken care of everything that my boyfriend had asked for, and a little out of the list too. There were 9 wonderful roses waiting for me and the cold champagne just made the things even better. The receptionist even took in consideration what I would like to have for my birthday breakfast when she noticed that maybe the man in the house had forgotten some important details. The only thing that I can complain about is that the room wasn’t exactly what we (my boyfriend) had had in mind when he booked it, but the service covered all of that.
The following morning breakfast came in perfect time, we got some help with what to do and see in the old town of Tallinn and we also got some help in choosing a restaurant for the evening and booking a table. And let me remind you that this was a different receptionist than the one during our arrival.
One of the nicest things was that we even got to have the room a few hours longer without charge on our departure day, which meant a lot for us.
The only thing that actually disappointed us was that their so called Jacuzzi was just a small pool with so cold water that even a Finn hesitated quite a long time before entering.
All in all we were very pleased with our choice of hotel and we would like to thank the staff in the reception and the restaurant for great hospitality. Keep up the good work!
