“Good location”
Reviewed September 21, 2013

The hotel's location is perfect, close to the city center and very affordable. The rooms are simple. The worst thing, the bathroom. Reception staff is very helpful! Traducción
I was worried about noise because the train station is next, there isn't noise. Good value for money

The hotel is next to the train station, and a short tram ride away from the bus station. (FYI, we used bus travel among the Baltic countries.) We had rooms overlooking the Old Town churches on the hill, which were lit up at night - very pretty. Our rooms were facing away from the train station and we never heard any train noise. There were a couple of small markets and an ATM nearby.

The hotel itself is across the street from the Old Town, which lessens the noise from rowdy people in the Old Town. This was very important during our stay, as the Netherlands was playing Estonia in football (soccer) during our stay, and the Dutch were pretty noisy.

The room was conveniently arranged and clean, with hardwood floors. The bathroom was good size, except that the sink was quite small.

The breakfast featured a variety of cereals, pastries, meats and cheeses. The coffee was great! The decor of the breakfast room was very interesting.

The hotel staff was cordial and helpful. We had an early departure for Helsinki and they arranged a taxi to the boat docks and gave us breakfast bags including sandwiches, water, and more. We appreciated their suggestions about an authentic pub and had a great meal at the Hell Hunt (translation: gentle wolf.)

Given its price and location, we were very pleased that we'd chosen this hotel.

Room Tip: Get a room overlooking the Old Town for a great view.

This hotel is in a good location just across the road from the Old Town and about a 10 min walk to the main square. We opted for a superior room which was on a higher level facing the road/ old town. We had no issues with noise although we always travel with a trusty set of ear plugs. We found the beds really comfy and the room although basic has everything you need and is great value for money. We were only in Tallinn for 3 days and spent most of our time out and about rather than in our room. A taxi from the airport costs only around 8 Euro one way in the daytime. One thing which was terrible was the breakfast. We stuck to toast and coffee as we couldn't identify some of th items in the hot food section and thought they looked quite dodgy indeed. Apart from this we think it is a very good budget option and would recommend to friends.

Located next to the train station which of course is very convenient should you need to use the train. As it turned out, we didn’t as there are no trains running between the Baltic countries so we arrived by bus on the other side of town! Taxi was only 6 euro to the hotel.

I had requested a room facing the Old Town (upper storeys) and we were on the top floor but unfortunately facing the other way towards the train tracks. Funnily enough, this side is probably quieter at night as the trains don’t run and the front faces the road. Anyway, the windows provide very good sound proofing. Room was a reasonable size, cheaply fitted out and a little tired. It was clean. Beds were quite narrow. My wife found her bed too hard so we swapped. Bathroom was designed as a wet room except the design wasn’t very good as the water from the shower soaked the area in front of the sink. A water squeegee to scrape the water back had been provided as an acknowledgment of this fault. Bathroom was also a bit smelly due to an old bog brush.

Breakfast was in a separate building on the 3rd floor. Compared to our hotels in Vilnius and Riga, the breakfast was very average with the hot food tasteless and overcooked.

The room was only £50/night which was very good value for mid August and it was only a 5 minute walk to enter the Old Town. The hotel was ok but I would have paid a bit more for something a little nicer and with better food.

Plain, uncomplicated and within walking distance of the old upper town centre of Tallinn, it offers good value for money. Rooms are small and a little bit noisy due to a heavy traffic road outside. The ones going out to the train tracks are actually quiter. Helpful staff, good WiFi, own free car park just outside the door.

Modern hotel near the centre of Tallinn, 5 minutes by walking and near the train station (it's practically attached to the station but don't worry there are no trains in the night), large room, very clean and a various continental breakfast all at a great price!

Good communication! Staff very friendly and good spoken english... Good location, 5 minutes walking from the old town! Good breakfast! But... Hotel location near the train station... In the morning that was very noisy... There are not air conditioner in the room... I think you can find better place for the price.
