Description: Located under the 12th Century Raekoda (Town Hall) building in the main square of Old Town Tallinn, Kolmas Dragon (or the Third Dragon) is a small medieval-themed tavern. This charming eatery with its beautiful-period interior is hosted daily by a group of petulant housekeepers whose job it is to entertain all-comers with their brusque and rude service manner. However this is all purely theatrical - a style that is closer to the behaviour that one would have received in the medieval ages. Specialities that are served include beef ribs, elk soup, savoury pastries, pickles from a barrel, teas, wines and the famous house beer. All those who enter should therefore be ready for not only tasty foods and beverages but also to some exceptionally entertaining service.

The actressy waiter makes this medieval-style pub a must stop for tasty cheap elk soup and a few beers.

However, don't expect any fine dining here.

For 3 Euros you get a good portion of elk soup (tastes like goulash) with bread. In the very centre of the old town this is an excellent price. The design is medieval, including the harsh lady who serves you :)

Only a few things on this menu and they were all delicious. I would not have tried the elk soup otherwise but they only have elk soup and it was cold outside so elk soup it was. Wow. We also got some pies (delicious), beer, juice, sausages and the apple dessert and it was all fantastic. Each time we went back to the counter to get more, the counter workers good-naturely harassed me more but I enjoyed it. My kids still talk about our stop here. We should have eaten every meal here and Tallinn would have cost me less.

Simple but cozy. The food is fine (especially recommend soup and beer), staff is friendly and joyful, lots of positive emotions.

Its a very simple and atmospheric place with few things in menu. Tasty soup and fresh baked pies. Great beer, schnapps and mulled wine. Free salt cucumber - EVERYTHING was great!
At this place you make feel like you are in a movie or at the past. we even thought that next time we need to take our own medieval costumes =)
oh and it is really cheap!
