Attraction details
Owner description: The view from Tallinn TV Tower is unique in Estonia as well as in all of Northern Europe. Under your feet are the woods of Muuga. The captivating Tallinn Old Town and the glistening Baltic Sea in all of its majestic glory are off in the distance. When Estonia was still behind the Iron Curtain, this was for many Estonians a window on the free world - at night one could even catch sight of the lights of Helsinki. To illustrate the view, visitors can use multimedia screens: to increase the area visible in it or seeing what the place looked like in the past. It is a view that must be seen. And - experienced! Bus information The TV Tower is served by city buses 34A, 38 and 49 ("Teletorn" stop), as well as by CityTour and City Sightseeing tourist buses (green line, Mere pst - Teletorn). Handicapped-accessible.

“Great place”
Reviewed November 18, 2013

We tried in August but then it was too long a queue (weekend). Now we went on Monday and there were no rush. Very nicely renovated and lots of historical info. And a magnificient view, of course.

“Not only a nice landscape view”
Reviewed November 17, 2013

It's easy to get to the Tallinn TV tower from central with bus (1,6 euros / 0,8 euros student). The tower itself is quite nice to see. There's shop on ground level and cafe on.. at 170 meters or something :) There's one floor for exhibitions below the sky cafe and observation floor and one on the first floor. The view to the Gulf of Finland and to Tallinn is nice (you won't see much on cloudy day though). You can get guided tour to walk on the edge with harness.

“Good but basic”
Reviewed November 3, 2013

Your visit here is limited to 1 hour, and unless you intend to spend a long time in the rather pricy cafe that is plenty of time. The views are great on a clear day, and there's a lot of interactive displays to play on.

“cloudy and pointless”
Reviewed November 3, 2013

Well, as you can probably guess from the title, we didn't see a thing from the viewing platform. A 30 minute wait to go and see cloud/fog up close and personal. The whole experience is bleak and very Soviet. If its foggy, take my advice and stay in the old town.
