Owner description: The view from Tallinn TV Tower is unique in Estonia as well as in all of Northern Europe. Under your feet are the woods of Muuga. The captivating Tallinn Old Town and the glistening Baltic Sea in all of its majestic glory are off in the distance. When Estonia was still behind the Iron Curtain, this was for many Estonians a window on the free world - at night one could even catch sight of the lights of Helsinki. To illustrate the view, visitors can use multimedia screens: to increase the area visible in it or seeing what the place looked like in the past. It is a view that must be seen. And - experienced! Bus information The TV Tower is served by city buses 34A, 38 and 49 ("Teletorn" stop), as well as by CityTour and City Sightseeing tourist buses (green line, Mere pst - Teletorn). Handicapped-accessible.

Want a real overview of the city; then this is the place. 360 View from the sky; with an option to walk outside around the edge for extra price (if money is no object). Interesting info. provided; including "periscope' views from cameras that focus in on various sites around the city with high power lens.

It was closed when I was last there, but I have been up it twice in the past.
But if it is opened, it is a good place to go to give a wonderful view of the surrounding landscape. Because Estonia is flat, you can see for miles. And on a really clear day, you can justabout see Helsinki, with your own eye.

I wasn't going to bother visiting this attraction so I took a bit of persuading, I'm actually not a TV fan so couldn't see what the fuss was about.

But I surrendered and took the trip out to see the Tallinn TV Tower and I'm glad I did. It was a very interesting trip through recent media/TV history of Estonia and you get to enjoy the spectacular view from the top of the tower.

There is ample parking but it can get busy, we had to wait a short while for someone to vacate but we did get a spot.

Overall I found it very interesting but if you're a fan of TV broadcasting then the Tallinn TV Tower is a must for you.

I nearly missed out on this, but the wonderful girls working at Hotel Bern reccomended this as a worthwhile trip out of town.

And what fun! First of all, a little break from all the old town hoopla. A bussride with ordinary Estonians. Amazing tower.

Most of all... Incredible view!

Well worth it, takes a couple of hours, you have enough time.

A litte added history, there's a stone at the entrance erected to commemorate the human chain, which startet at the tower here in Estonia and ended by the TV tower in Vilnius in Lithuania, to mark a wish for liberation of the Baltic states in 1989.

In addition giving a more broader view of Tallinn, it is well renovated and nice to visit. You can also use the regural busses to get back to the city, in case the time between the hop on hop off busses (1,5 hours) is too long for the visit.
