Owner description: Welcome aboard! Seaplane Harbour is an exciting maritime museum in Tallinn, Estonia for the whole family. Located in the unique and historic seaplane hangar, our interactive exhibition includes a real submarine from mid-1930s, seaplane Short 184, a 100-year-old ice-breaker, two cinemas, many simulators and much more. And while you are here, take a look at one of the nicest souvenir shops in Tallinn or eat local food at our restaurant MARU.

An amazing place to spend a day (or some hours). I would recommend this even on a good weather since there is an outside area as well.

The museum building built in the old hangars is very impressive. You can get as much or as little information you want also sent to your email account.

Lots of items you can touch and try, which makes this suitable also for children.

Definitely a place worth to visit.

“Most fun attraction visited in Tallinn”
Reviewed January 28, 2013

With it's real old decommissioned sub and simulator games it's got to be the most fun we had at any attraction in Tallinn. Nice exhibits on boats+ planes in old hangar. Little bit further up North (NNW) from the old city - past Fat Margret ~10mins walk.

“Good time for both kids and parents!”
Reviewed January 27, 2013

An old hangar at Tallin Harbour renovated to a versatile maritime museum. The main attraction is Lembit, a WWII submarine well polished for the audience. Numerous other vessels, buyous, mines and airplanes are at display. Sound and light effects add to the atmosphere of the impressive hangar building.

You can try your aim as an anti-aicraft gunner, pilot remote conrolled ships on a small pond, dress as a sailor, aicraft pilot or admiral and fly a real size plane in flight simulator. Kids love this, and parents can join them for double the fun! Finally you can try your skills at a paper aiplane track.

The cafeteria-retaurant Maru of the museum is highly recommended: Local cuisine, well thought and prepared portions, excellent service and reasonable prices!

“Highlight of our visit - very unexpected!”
Reviewed January 24, 2013 via mobile

We only ended up going to this because there was so much snow but I am so glad we did. As two female students I doubted it would be interesting but the venue is spectacular and the exhibits are really interactive and fun. We were lucky enough to go when there was a concert going on and I'd highly recommend that! It was so photogenic and atmospheric (definitely go after dark!!) we ended up staying for hours.

Must do.
