I found this hostel in Tallinn my "second home": it has a great position, nice rooms, and the beds are not bad, u can sleep nice. I can complain a bit about the number of showers, i use to wait a bit to have one. There are not a lot.
The building is historical and valueable, the roofs on wood are really noticeble.
Staff is so helpful and kind.

Hope to see u again!

I stayed in a private room which was very basic. Bed was ok, but curtains almost fell off. Bathrooms were not very clean. Also, there were not enough showers.
The living room is nice and cosy.
Although rooms are basic, I would recommend staying here because of the staff. The staff is very helpful and friendly. We drank beer with them and had interesting conversations.

If I was to shorten my review to only few words, I'd say: Awesome location, great and helpful staff, great prices but not the cleaniest place. After all - you get what you pay for.

To extend the review a little, I'll divide it into few categories:

LOCATION
Can't beat it. It is located right in the heart of the city, everything important in Tallinn is within walkable distance. If you arrive by buos from Vilnius, or Riga it'll take you 15 - 20 mins to get here. If you arrive or leave to Helsinki, the port is about 10 mins of walking far.
The Old Town square is right behind the corner, with lots of bars, pubs, restaurant, and everything you're (not) looking for.

PRICE
Can't beat it either. We stayed in the biggest dorm with 14 beds, and paid €9 per person per night!! Considering the fact that beer in average Tallinn's pub costs between €3 and €6, the price for night is fantastic.

STAFF
People that work there the day shifts are super friendly and helpful. Especially one guy who comes from Guatemala. They'll you what's up in Tallinn, where to go for cheap bear, or where to shop groceries. Be sure to take the Tallinn Free Map Made By Locals right upon arrival - it's at the reception!
People on night shifts I didn't find that friendly, but not rude either.

ROOMS
Simplicity at its finest. You get your bed and perhaps a chair, too. You can charge your phone there and that's about it.

SHOWERS AND TOILETS
This was the only catch we've experienced. There's only few showers (I think 3) for entire hostel and you can imagine how one shower looks like after 30 people have used it before you.

GENERAL
The kitchen is fully equiped, there's free WiFi which only works in the lobby and the common area though. There's a TV and 2 computers for free use in the common area. The staff of this hostel also organizes tours around the city or to some cool sights even outside Tallinn.

I definitely enjoyed my stay at this place, especially for its location and unbetable price.

I stayed here for two nights. There is a nice little courtyard and our room was quiet. Overall, however, this isn't the cleanest hostel. The bathrooms smell terrible and some didn't have soap. The staff were friendly and even mapped out every detail of what we should do. We had a fun stay, but it was still kind of icky.

This hostel was really cheap. We had a private spacious room for ten people without a small living room area :). The location is great as it is 2 minutes walk from the main square. 24 hours reception whith a friendly staff always willing to help for any issues. There is a nice living/ chilling/partying out room. I would suggest this hostel for easy going , quite adventurist people as it is quite cold at night in the room and if you decide to take a shower at a peak hour, you might not get any water :). except of that fact this hostel was a great experience.

Room Tip: if you are a big group (ten people) ask for the room on the 1st floor on the right

It's located near old town but a little off the beaten track. It's offer very spacous dormitory but there are also private room. If you are off season maybe you will be lucky and you will only guest of dormitory. You can prepare here food by yourself, because you can use shared kitchen.

Life is too short to stay here. I fixed the toilet seat and cleaned the bathroom myself. The staff have their own issues and wish you didn't come to stay. The attic is a bit of a fire trap.

The location is great, the management was pleasant once we got their attention, the kitchen was clean, and it was quiet (off season) but I'd suggest you look around a bit before booking here.
