Bridgettine Convent Guest House

We were welcomed to this peaceful and nice guesthouse by smiling sisters. The rooms are bright, modern and clean. The sleep quality was so good that I didn't hear the church bells on neither of two mornings. The breakfast is good and tasty. The convent has a beautiful well-kept garden.
Pirita beach is 5 minutes walk away, Tallinn City centre can be reached in 10-15 minutes by bus and Tallinn Song Festival Grounds is within a reasonable walking distance.
Great value for money. It is definitely a place to return to!

Sadly we left the nuns and Tallinn this morning after staying for 2 nights there. It was an excellent experience. The entire accommodation was exceptionally clean and tidy. Our room contained Great lighting and a heated towel rack in a spacious bathroom. There is a seperate kitchenette with constant free tea and coffee and fridge to store food. Also there is a communal lounge space with a television. The whole place is very secure and yes quiet. There is free wifi and a simple breakfast of cereal, yoghurt, bread, cheese and cold meats. The nuns were very accommodating and nothing was too much bother and they are not at all intrusive. There is also free access to the neighbouring ruins. It was a 10€ taxi ride from Linda line ferry to the convent which is on the edge of the city. However there are multiple local buses that drop you off at the door and a single ticket is a mere €1.60. Much like Tallinn in general it was very affordable and service was excellent.

Very nice and friendly place! The sisters are very kind and helpful to all. The room very clean. There is a fridge to store food of your own, and possibility to make a cup of tea at anytime of the day. Very worth the price!
Close to the seaside, and a big pine forest for walks. The very beutiful and interesting botanical garden of Tallinn is located about 40 minutes walk through the forest.

This is an excellent place to stay when you are visiting Tallinn. The buildings are new, modern and well maintained. The sisters are welcoming and friendly. The place has a peace and friendliness which are invaluable. Breakfast is basic and good. We stayed here for three nights and highly recommend this place. The transport to Tallinn is inexpensive and easy accessible.

Modern building, everything is very clean. Friendly personal, well sisters. Very quiet, but keep in mind, that you will be awaken from bells of local churge at 7am. Bed of good quality, but very narrow. Breakfast is simple, but OK. A bit far from the city. Good value for money and really smth special.

You are admitted and warmly welcomed by the nuns who give very personal service. The rooms are spacious and spotless with all you need. Dinner is available to order as well as breakfast. All is good value. There is a library and chapel and the whole building is in cool Scandinavian design. The only possible drawback is that it is a bit out of town and you need a taxi or the bus (free to pensioners) it is also secluded and quiet and not suitable for stag parties.

The Bridgettine guesthouse at Pirita Convent has 20 single, double and triple rooms. All rooms with it's own bathroom, internet access and phone. It was spaciouse, modern and very comfortable. The guest can also use the library, computer facilities, conference room and the TV in the hallway. You can also make your own coffee or tea in the hallway. The guesthouse is modern and newly built (about 10 years ago) The price is very good €31 for single or €51 for double room pr. day incl. a nice breakfast. The breakfast consists of coffee, tea, milk, orange juice, yoghurt, cereals, cheese, jam, bread and cold cuts. More than enough to start the day off. The guesthouse is really a gem. Altough the guesthouse is in a convent you don't have to be Catholic to stay there. The sisters are so friendly, helpfull and they do everything to make you feel at home. They are discreetly present and never obtrusive. If you prefer you can join them in their prayer time.
The guesthouse is situated only 7 km. from Tallinn Old Town and it takes about 10 min. by bus. You can take bus no. 1, 1a, 38, 34a which runs every 5-10 min and costs only €0,80. We enjoyed staying there and it gave us a good feeling that by staying there encountered their work.
